NAPERVILLE, IL—One man has taken the message of Gillette’s new “toxic masculinity” campaign to heart. Devin Camp saw the commercial and it caused him to perform an introspective look at his own motivations of behavior regarding manliness. One area of life he felt especially convicted was the task of snow removal.
“I’ve always just assumed that in our family, I would be the one to clear the driveway when we get snow,” Camp said. “But after seeing the video, I decided to start breaking down the stereotypes passed down from my father and his father before him. So, this weekend, when twelve inches of snow fell, I swallowed my pride, handed my wife the snow shovel, and told her I was going to let her do it.”
Camp’s wife, who is three months pregnant, was surprised by the gesture but honored that her husband would be so forward-thinking as to allow her the privilege of completing a job traditionally reserved for men. “It took me an hour and a half, and I think I strained an oblique muscle, but the pride and joy I felt being married to such a noble and generous man, helped me to push through the pain.”
Mr. Camp is expected to break down similar barriers regarding lawn mowing, household maintenance, and car repair.

Williams was an enjoyable host when he subbed for Rush. Another blessing we would have missed entirely without Rush and his pursuit of excellence.
Hubby and I have been married nearly 52 years, 2 months shy of it. And I have done 99% of the snow removal. It started out innocently, he worked third shift and would sleep before going to work. I’d go down and clear the car off and make sure he could get the car out. That’s all it takes to start a habit. When there have been blizzards, he has shared the duties but the majority of the time I have done it and loved doing it. It’s a great work out, and no running involved! Now we have a son 1/2 mile down the road with a tractor. Always thought I’d want one of my sons to be a dr, now I think I choose a hobby farmer.
Reminds me of a joke Rush Limbaugh shared on his TV show. How he and Her heinous found themselves alone in an elevator. Hilary Clinton takes her clothes off and tells Rush to “treat me like a woman”. Rush takes off his clothes,throws them in a corner and tells her “OK, wash and fold them!”
Of course we have a John Deere with a plow but still, I have been known to do it.
And he as been known to run the vacuum. It is a Roomba but he pushed the little button to start it.
Putting on your wife’s pink nightie is not a good idea.....
It will only reinforce her long-held feelings that she didnt marry you for your sexual prowess.
