The cheap, generic, anti-parasite drug Ivermectin finally is to undergo rigorous clinical trials in a first world nation for use in fighting Covid-19.
The cheap, generic, anti-parasite drug Ivermectin finally is to undergo rigorous clinical trials in a first world nation for use in fighting Covid-19. Japan has been hit with a second wave of Covid cases, and as result, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (population: 13.8 million) is looking for approaches which could minimize stress on available hospital beds. Nikkei Asia reports (Nikkei is Japan’s leading busines daily, comparable to the Wall Street Journal):
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government plans to conduct clinical trials of the anti-parasitic drug Ivermectin at metropolitan and public hospitals to assess its effectiveness against COVID-19, Nikkei has learned.
Clinical trials will be conducted on patients with mild symptoms. Patients who are hospitalized mostly have moderate or serious symptoms. The metropolitan government will finalize the details of the study, including the size and duration of clinical trials, after the infection situation settles down.
The Tokyo government hopes to support the trials using some beds at metropolitan and public hospitals. Ivermectin will be given to patients with mild symptoms, comparing their response with those receiving a placebo.

I expect Ivermectin to run into the same opposition as HCQ. It negates the need for vaccinations, vaccination passports, and all of the other government tracking and control that a mandatory vaccination program can give them.
Why would a treatment negate the need for prevention? It never has before. We have iron lungs for polio patients and they’re pretty effective. But you know what’s even better than having iron lungs for polio patients?
Not having any polio patients.
Some researchers consider it unethical to use a placebo because Ivermectin works so well
Like HCQ, Ivermectin has been around for practically forever and is safer than Tylenol. It has the same mechanism of action as HCQ.
Results from Australia show it’s a cure.
Ivermectin is used in heartworm medicine for dogs.
Ping to Japan on board with Ivermectin
The “vaccine” has an emergency use authorization (EUA). If rule of law existed the EAU would become invalid and the vaccine would have to be pulled with a treatment like ivermectin..
A couple billion doses have been given to people over the last several decades. Ivermectin is quite safe.
Used for horses and many other animals too.
It’s an anti-parasitic. Inhibits the ACE-2 receptor which effectively closes the door on pathogens entering the cell.
When used with Zinc, it blocks the virus from using the cell machinery to replicate.
We have data from Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 clinical trials from multiple countries and over 100,000 study participants demonstrating that the vaccines are safe and effective. They keep people out of the hospital and out of the morgue. Why on Earth would we give that up?
Ivermectin can be an effective treatment in a lot of cases. It's not a miracle cure-all. Anyone who tells you it is is either ignorant or lying. The closest thing to a "cure" for COVID-19 is monoclonal antibody therapy (which is what President Trump got), and even that isn't 100%. The vaccines, monoclonal antibody therapy, Ivermectin, and other tools function together to provide layers of protection to keep people alive. Stripping off layers for no reason doesn't make sense.
Banning the vaccines makes less sense than banning Ivermectin.
I find it ironic that Japan, a population that walks around with masks during good times is having a wave of infections.
FDA issued the vaccine under the premise of an Emergency Use Authorization. There were no other treatments when the EUA was issued. Don’t worry, you can rest assured they will not investigate any other cures. Suggest you learn about antibody dependent enhancement before your poked though. Small risk, big impact.
But in reality, FDA still has not approved any treatment or test for COVID-19 and has instead issued what are known as emergency use authorizations, or EUAs. From an outsider’s perspective, the difference between an approval and an EUA may seem like semantics, but EUAs and full approvals are significantly different.
People may be getting tired of seeing it, but here’s my text block on Ivermectin:
IANAD or public health professional, but my understanding is that technically, the vaccines are not “approved”, but rather have “emergency use authorizations.” These EUAs could only be granted if there were no available effective therapeutics. So the FedGov public health establishment had to refuse to recognize the efficacy of HCQ and Ivermectin-based therapies in order to be able to grant those EUAs. By doing this, they greatly increased the death and suffering due to Covid.
If we had a public health edifice that was worth anything, front line health care workers and public-facing store employees would be on Covid prophylaxis. The Federal public health agencies (FDA/NIH/CDC) have seemingly completely ignored cheap effective re-purposed therapeutics that could have significantly reduced deaths and transmission.

Ditto this group.
India has been using HCQ and Ivermectin for many months as therapeutics and for prophylaxis. Their curves are quite impressive, scroll down to see them here.
Anyone able to interpret a basic graph will be impressed. Why is this not being talked about in Western media?
Also from India:
Ziverdo Kit Contains Zinc Acetate 50 mg, Doxycycline 100 mg & Ivermectin 12 mg Dispersible Tablets. It is currently indicated in the first line treatment for COVID-19 positive patients. Quadruple Therapy with Ivermectin is effective in treating COVID-19
That’s a link to an Indian online pharmacy selling that Covid treatment kit for under $2, just add vitamin D3.
Also, the meta-study link has links to a number of other studies. Here’s the one for HCQ.
HCQ is effective for COVID-19 when used early: real-time meta analysis of 197 studies
I continue to think the FedGov’s handling of these therapeutics criminal.
I can’t understand how a vaccine under EUA can be anything but voluntary.
I’ll take my chances at beating the virus with my body’s own resistance. I also think the virus was engineered by China. I just finished watching Day 3 of the 24 series.
If 20% of the populace understood that India data set it would lead to a very interesting set of events.
We let people die for political gain and profit.
I can’t come to any other conclusion. Covince me otherwise.
