Southern CA. Medics are required to deny care to emergencies where the patient is not expected to recover. Due to Southern California hospital bed shortage, the California Director of Health has ordered medics to triage emergency patients. The Director has issued regulations specifying the criteria for denying care.
First, if the potential patient has been dead for more than 1 hour. Second, if the potential patient has been in a car accident and is really icky. Third, if the potential patient is a registered Republican (note that voter rolls must be checked prior to providing care) and it is a felony to provide care with or without checking.
The Director has stated that it is his belief that the State is providing care to those who need it most, supporting Social Justice goals and supporting Bill Gates' population reduction.
What-no death panel beforehand?

Not satire. This was reported on NBC tonight. Medics are expected to make the call in lieu of Drs.
The end result was not happy for anyone but the hospital, doctor and EMT's are on the hook for millions.

I did 10 years as an EMT. It was drilled into us that only a Dr. can make the call.
Not sure if their machines were not working right or they did not know how to use them but the end result was that a twenty six year old woman with CP was found to be still alive some three or four hours later.
As you can imagine the family threw a fit.
