Did you Hear about the ZIVERDO Therapy for COVID-19? The inexpensive first line treatment for COVID-19 positive patients.
Covexit: Covid-19 News and Policy Analysis ^ | 12/28/2020

This is a brief essay, a chain of thoughts, from a $2 therapy to … the fall of nations … (nothing less!)

Article available in French at this link.

If you watch the news about COVID-19, you will have certainly heard about drugs such as Remdesivir and REGEN-CoV2, two drugs that were administered to President Trump when he got the disease.

But what about ZIVERDO? You probably never heard about it! And chances are that, if you don’t read this blog, or pay attention to COVID-19 news on Twitter and some other social media, you would never hear about it.

A reason may simply be that it’s a very very cheap therapy for COVID-19.

The drugs we hear about tend to be very pricey. Forbes looked at the price of REGEN-CoV2 and came with this comparison.

“To put things in perspective, that’s potentially over 220 to 950 pieces of avocado toast, depending on whether goat cheese is involved and whether you make your own avocado toast.”

Not sure how they came up with this comparison, but they also gave a cost estimate at “somewhere between $1,500 and $6,500 per treatment.”

https://www.forbes.com/sites/brucelee/2020/11/22/regeneron-antibody-cocktail-for-covid-19-coronavirus-gets-fda-emergency-use-authorization/

In the US, the federal government is subsidizing the drug, so it’s offered free of charge to patients, although in some cases, some fees are applicable. To this date, some 55 000 doses of Casirivimab/Imdevimab, the commercial name of the drug, have been delivered.

https://www.phe.gov/emergency/events/COVID19/investigation-MCM/Bamlanivimab/Pages/allocation.aspx

As for Remdesivir, the price is $3120 per patient for a typical treatment course, for those with private insurance. This does not include the hospitalization costs.

https://www.ajmc.com/view/gilead-sciences-sets-us-price-for-covid19-drug-at-2340-to-3120-based-on-insurance

While Remdesivir is known to have significant toxicity and has been found to be ineffective by the international SOLIDARITY trial, leading to the World Health Organization to recommend against its use, it’s still widely used in US hospitals and officially recommended by the National Institutes of Health.

https://www.who.int/news-room/feature-stories/detail/who-recommends-against-the-use-of-remdesivir-in-covid-19-patients

Interim analysis of data for 275 patients, of a clinical trial regarding REGN-COV2, was published on December 17 in the New England Journal of Medicine and found that the drug “reduced viral load, with a greater effect in patients whose immune response had not yet been initiated or who had a high viral load at baseline.”

So this research shows an interesting signal, but let’s see how this evolves. The purpose of this article is not to look into the details of the effectiveness of this therapy.

Now what about the ZIVERDO Therapy?

Regarding its cost, it’s can be purchased online, in India, for the whopping total amount of US$2.00

https://www.rxindia.com/medicines/medicines-by-therapeutic-class/covid-19/ziverdo-kit/

https://www.indiamart.com/proddetail/ziverdo-kit-22974209655.html

https://www.pharmacolifesciences.com/covid-drugs.html

Yes you read it well: retail price is below what you would tip for your coffee at Starbucks. I am not talking here about the price of your latté, which is immensely more expensive than that of the potentially life-saving ZIVERDO Therapy.

But who developed this therapy? Well, drawing from its composition, it appears that it can be attributed to none other than the esteemed Professor Thomas Borody, from Australia, whom we interviewed last September and who had even the audacity to claim that COVID-19 was “easier than treating the flu.”

Professor Thomas Borody Interview – Part 1

“We Know it’s Curable; It’s Easier than Treating the Flu” — Professor Thomas Borody

The ZIVERDO therapy is made of 3 agents:

While Professor Borody did not make public the precise dosage of his therapy, the producers of ZIVERDO opted for the following:

“ZIVERDO Kit Contains Zinc Acetate 50 mg, Doxycycline 100 mg & Ivermectin 12 mg Dispersible Tablets.”

Source: https://www.rxindia.com/images/detailed/2/Ziverdo_Kit_Strip_Back.jpg

In addition, they also recommend Vitamin D3, to make it a “quadruple therapy.”

The therapy is offered as home kits and is presented as “first line treatment for COVID-19 positive patients.”

The ZIVERDO therapy is also very close to the i-MASK+ protocol developed by Professor Marik and his colleagues, where Ivermectin and Zinc play a key role.

In our recent webinar, Professor Marik mentioned Doxycycline can be added to the protocol for early treatment when needed.

Webinar with Professor Paul Marik: the Prevention & Outpatient Treatment of C19

If you are in a country such as Canada, the US, France, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Sweden, Germany and many others, for sure you will not have heard about ZIVERDO, except for blogs like this one or some posts on social media.

Countries like India, where the ZIVERDO is offered as a frontline treatment, cannot afford the kind of medicine that is being pushed in these rich, “developed” countries. They cannot afford either massive hospitalizations for a disease that can be treated home.

But if you think about it. When cheap effective drugs are being vehemently denied by the authorities to patients suffering from a deadly disease, can we still talk about medicine?

And are such rich countries, denying life-saving treatments, really developed?

History shows that the rise and fall of nations have many explanations. With this pandemic, it looks like greed may be a pretty good one.

To think one step further, could the poor response to the pandemic be an indicator of future fall of certain nations?

Food for thought … History will tell us, as they say …

PS 1: In the US, even if the official recommendation remains not to treat COVID-19 before hospitalization, you can find a GP or a telehealth service that will prescribe an early therapy likely similar to this ZIVERDO protocol. See the listing maintained by the AAPS by downloading their home-based COVID treatment guide.

A Guide to Home-Based COVID Treatment

PS2: In macroeconomics, the cost of health is considered a contribution to the growth domestic product. When one spends fortunes on expensive and/or ineffective drugs, it’s computed as a contribution to the GDP. Widely using cheap drugs, even when life-saving, is not adding significantly to the GDP. Same goes for hospitalization: the cost of hospitalization is seen as a contributor to the economy, unlike a home-based treatment. In short, you can have substantial resources allocated to health, seen as contributing to the economy, yet without much of an impact in terms of health outcomes (including life expectancy)

PS3: An oddity with these expensive treatments is that President Trump held shares in both Regeneron and Gilead in the past. Maybe he is still holding such stocks. Could that have influenced his therapy?

I am a big advocate of proning and breathing exercises.

Even though you want to stay in bed and not move because you hurt and feel sick....do it. Same holds true even if it is just garden variety pneumonia.

Perhaps easier said than done. Worst pain of my life was diverticultis. I already have in my head that even if the pain is that bad....I am doing it

there is a recent post on texags site that has a dumbed down version of why your lungs and body hurt and examples of proning and breathing excercises.

Interesting thread.

Person 1. A healthy 32 year old man with no comorbidities and considered to be in excellent health. He as self isolated and has never been in contact with anyone. Somehow he contracts the virus and within five days he has succumbed to the virus.

Person 2. An eighty year old woman, morbidly obese, with diabetes and high blood pressure. This person has not been able to test positive for the virus despite being in contact with those who have the disease (CV19).

I really wish we knew why these two scenarios can occur.

Genetics? Environment? Seems science would have to know the answer before a vaccine could have been developed. SARS-CoV-2. The only thing we can say with certainty about it is that we can't be certain about anything.

I intend to ‘defer’ on the vaccine - the wife says she will take it.
We have zinc and I have Ivermectin due in 2 days. I also have a decent antibiotic on hand from my dentist because he did a root canal on a tooth that has signs of an abscess (not currently infected) that he wants me to be able to treat ASAP if it acts up instead of doing the natural filling in process.

I’m 68 and healthy (non-smoker for 6 months now) and the wife is 70 and healthy so I expect us to both be fine regardless.

The wife’s 89 year old aunt wrote to say she “had the Covid and felt bad for a couple days but am fine now” which further encourages me.

I know some have had folks seriously sick or even die, but firmly believe that if we had actual truthful data coming in, the deaths would be similar to an average Flu season and that most are with folks with known comorbidities, perhaps a few with latent issues, and a LOT of them likely to have passed within a year via the natural progression of their lives.

We have friends who have family members or “know someone” who has/had the bug and while a few had lingering effects, none have been critically ill or died from it. Most cases we hear about are anecdotal and I assume it is the same with most of us.

If all the horror stories were true, we should all know someone relatively close who had passed and a number who have had or have it.

The GIANT question raised by this article and others like it is WHY should a vaccine be a top priority for a viral infection that can be successfully treated with medicines?

If Covid-19 is not and should not be thought of as a “death sentence” if proper early treatment can take care of it, then there is no need for everyone to get a vaccine.

Nature will be more trusting of the immunity individuals develop from fighting off the infection than any derived from a vaccine. The population will have greater herd immunity if the greater portion of the infected population gets treatments that take care of the infection than if any portion of the population obtains a vaccine.

guess even different blood types can affect how bad a person gets it- My blood type got all messed up with transfusions way back in the 80’s I had type O which was supposedly the ‘best type to have in regards to covid’

I wonder if this is true even for regular flu? If blood types play a role in how severe they get it? IF it’s true that it does for covid?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That is a good question!
I believe there was a quick strategy shift after the HCQ response. In the case of the U.S. it was not about the money for the President, it was about having solutions to fight the left’s COVID tyranny. The strategy was WARP speed. Pay pharma for quick solutions. Designed to destroy their tyranny. ZIVERDO has all the proven ingredients. If you can get it. The new immune-therapy drugs are looking like a much better alternative to the vaccines as well.
Even better. Thanks for the correction. Doxycycline is also used to thwart glucolysis in cancer cells.
I ordered Ivermectin from the Ziverdo Kit Store, and it arrived today without issue, about 2 weeks delivery time. I was concerned that it might be confiscated in customs as I have heard of that happening.
Perhaps I should have ordered the full kit, but I might not need it anyway.
In any event, this seller is the real deal, and not a scam in any way.
I should add that the prices at the Ziverdo Kit Store are considerably higher than RXIndia, but they DON’T ask for a prescription. You must upload a prescription to buy from RXIndia.
My best friend’s wife is a nurse with COVID patients, and several of her co-workers died from it. My uncle also had a neighbor who died from it after believing it didn’t even exist.
As for Staten Island, I’m guessing the residents told the virus “Fuhgeddaboudit,” and so the virus, realizing its quest was futile, went on its way.
