Prayer ping.

Sounds like you need some prayers.

I don’t know much at all about on-line docs. Sorry I can’t help more!

I was chronically depressed, for 20 years. When my husband got fibromyalgia, I really starting researching solutions, as the medical community were completely inept. I found a study out of London, that showed FM was a symptom of chronic magnesium deficiency. So, I started him on high doses and boom...FM is gone. I started taking it at the same time and I never looked back on depression. That was 13+ years ago. You need to take 600-800mg/DAY split in 200 mg increments. Each capsule or tablet is about 100 mg.

You should avoid any form with Oxide in it as it’s very unabsorbable. The best forms are glycinate and malate.

You can curl up in a ball and let the bastards win. Or you can realize when you open your eyes and look around, you are still alive and are capable of feeling. Realize that as long as you are alive you can get up, cope and prosper. Otherwise you let the bastards, who delight in your current state win. Don’t let the bastards win. Show you loved ones how its done and at least leave them a fighting legacy.

Contact your local hospital. They should have of primary care physicians. You need to be seen. Online telemedicine is generally reserved for established physicians. Additionally you need a physician licensed in your state.

If you are feeling this depressed please reach out to clergy or support groups. If you are thinking dark thoughts get to the emergency room

You need to be seen and any primary care doc has committed his or her life to helping. You have expressed the need for help but don’t do it online.

Be well

Just believe what you like to believe.

And smoke pot no doubt. Maybe drop a little acid?

And the please for the love of God do not listen to the litany of nonprofessional advice you see about to get. You will see people attempting to practice medicine without a license and they are unqualified to help with the constellation of symptoms you have reported in your post.

If you send me a private response as to where city and state you reside in I can do some quick research snd point you the right direction.

So...magnesium binds to certain elements that are on a spectrum of availability. The worst being oxide, the best being glycinate. The middle of the road is citrate. In answer to your question, yes, it works, just not as effective as others. I would not waste anything you have and if you like it, keep taking it. But, I would supplement your supplement :) Take glycinate and malate, along with the citrate. Another great form is mag oil which you spray on and rub in.

We lose huge amounts of magnesium when we’re stressed (and we’re all stressed, all the time). The very first thing your body does when stressed, is dump your mag as it’s preparing you for fight or flight.

So, you spent years becoming deficient. It can take a while to build your stores back up but start high and stay there consistently.

I’ve dealt with depression before, too. Meds might be a short-term solution. But if your depression is tied to the election, the best thing to do is turn off the tv/radio/computer & go find something enjoyable to do. Read a book. Take up a new hobby. Volunteer. When you’re helping others, you see that your troubles are not so great.

That being said, we’re all pretty depressed about this mess.

Doctor Jill Biden seems to be all the rage, lately.

On a serious note, if you can pin it down to the election, I don’t think it’s clinical depression. Fear, anxiety, anger....a feeling of helplessness...any number of other things.

Every county has a community mental health service. Contact them.

You don’t need an online doctor, you need to be evaluated and treated professionally and in person.

If you broke your arm, you wouldn’t be looking for an online doctor. This is no different, and needs to be treated as any other illness or injury.

Please keep us informed as to your progress.

Have you had your thyroid tested? I have a hypo-active thyroid and stopped taking the meds and went into dark thoughts. Started up on the meds again and feel much better.
Just need a blood draw to test.

If it started 11/4...

It may spontaneously resolve on 1/6

Please seek urgent professional help. Everyone feels low every now and then, but when it doesn’t go away or gets more intense it is always advisable to seek professional assistance. Depression can be a very dangerous thing. Please call whatever health network you have in your city to see who you can go and talk to/meet. Please.

Eat healthy, exercise, get plenty of sleep, and quit reading/watching the news.

Meditate, go for long walks/hike, take some Epsom salt baths, read uplifting stories, listen to upbeat music, watch some good movies, don't isolate, and look into a new hobby.

Instead of reading/watching news:

Audit a course on Coursera, write short stories, paint, draw, DIY project,...

Your not alone!! I’m sure most of the 74 million that voted for Trump feel cheated and robbed and no one wants to hear our case.
