William Dalton Milam, 62, was arrested Monday on two counts of promoting sexual performance of a child and 25 counts of possession of child pornography.
MILTON — A Florida pastor who crusaded against alcohol sales on Sundays is now facing child pornography charges, state investigators say.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement reported William Dalton Milam, 62, was arrested Monday on two counts of promoting sexual performance of a child and 25 counts of possession of child pornography.
It was not immediately clear Tuesday if Milam has a lawyer.
The Pensacola News Journal reports Milam is pastor at the Olivet Baptist Church in Milton and was an outspoken critic of the consumption of alcohol. He delivered a sermon there last Sunday.
FDLE said agents received a tip about Milam from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which led them to a computer address traced to Milam’s home. Authorities say a search warrant led agents to multiple devices containing child pornography, some depicting children as young as 3 engaged in sex acts.
Milam vocally opposed a 2016 campaign by Santa Rosa County cities to change local ordinances to allow the sale of liquor on Sundays.

While I believe that child porners and abusers need to be beheaded, the fact remains that the NSA has the ability to insert anything onto your computer and you’ll never know about it. I’m sure other govt agencies can too.
I don’t see why that’s a crime when theft, looting and property destruction aren’t considered crimes anymore.

They absolutely can. No matter who they pin that one on, I take it with a grain of salt. He probably pissed somebody in high places off.

My thoughts exactly. After seeing all the government corruption aimed at President Trump these last 4 years, and then this fraudulent recount, I’m more than a little incredulous.

Innocent until proven guilty. He’s against selling alcohol on Sundays, something a liquor store owner might not appreciate. How hard would it be to plant an accuser and some pictures in a man’s life? Time to await the rest of the story.

I don’t know about now, but back in the day no booze was sold in Delaware on Sundays. Wine, beer, and spirits are sold only in alcohol stores. No supermarket or gas station beer ever.
In Clay County FL, back in the day you couldn’t sell beer until 1300 or 1400 on Sundays.
So we would buy wings, and get free beer.
It’s like that here in our county except in some towns they can have their own ordinances. So they get the alcohol sales and the town next door doesn’t.
Literally, stores within sight of each other, one can sell any time on Sunday and one can not until 1300..............
