So, since this seems to be on a lot of our minds, I thought we might start discussing what it looks like, if it is possible, how would we get it done.
PING
I agree. The problem is twofold: third worlders flocking here, a natural constituency of the left and natives getting radicalized by communist revolutionaries in academia and the media. We’re steadily being drowned out by lunatics and morons.
State secession might be beyond your control, but individual secession certainly is. Patriots can stop clicking on enemy media and patronizing enemy establishments and services. Blue state patriots should pull up stakes for redder pastures if possible or at least become become a drain on their shithole state’s finances as much as possible.
Texas had "standing": The electoral college is a collective decision. If one part is corrupt, the group outcome is corrupt.
SCOTUS had 1 job. They failed!
It has to start with a financial solution. States to declare themselves and citizens no longer under rule of feds. All taxes being paid to feds now to be paid to the state and state will assume financial duties.... like SS, Medicare etc. States to establish banking system for its citizens. Corporate business in the state, like Walmart etc, that doesn’t accept new rules and guidelines will lose its facilities etc.
It’s beyond question in both sides’ interest to negotiate the divorce. Imagine the greatest war machine in history divided on itself in one geographic area.
To negotiate: military assets, nukes, gold, the dollar/reserve currency status, debt / bond payment, social security/Medicare commitments, use of ports, migration, defense obligations overseas, accepting rogue countiies (well, give us blue-staters some hope)...
Lots and lots of blood.
Who has ammo?
That’s a pair. Who is that guy or gal?
Cut the cities loose.
Get better candidates. Win on the issues. Start local. Work our way up.
Alan West. A big pair.
Secession
Sounds good in the exact moment of optimal frustration.
Subsequent to that, it’s a no-win option.
What’s the goal. The goal is to retain some semblance of the
nation we love, but more importantly it has to continue to be
a nation that is viable.
If states secede, they do so without military, nuclear
weapons, or any sector of our nation’s five branches of the
military.
So we go our own way, and the party that is deemed to have
won the election, becomes the default owner of all we left
behind.
Can we defend the free world? No. We would be doing good
to defend ourselves if the federal government we just opted
to disassociate with didn’t agree to let us go.
The United States we left behind, would have half as many
citizens. It would be a nation without a clue how to lead.
It would be a nation filled with seething people dying to
kill everyone who didn’t agree with them.
Everyone with half a clue, would be a part of the new entity,
but what would that be worth in the short or long run?
We would in effect set up our own autonomous zones. Would
they be recognized? Would we have to fight to hold our
ground? Would our military be used against us? Would we
be able to hold out for more than a few months?
While I don’t know the answers to all these questions, they
are still questions we would have to face.
It would not be a bed of roses, or even a bed we could sleep
in when we grow weary.
I don’t see this as a great option.
If this nation crumbles, the Chinese can simply walk in and
take over the place with those who claim to have won this
election tossing down palm fronds to welcome them in.
Why China would be doing a great service to the United States,
that we left behind. Just imagine how the Leftists would be
forever indebted to them.
How do you get the voting apparatus and the voting system changed to prevent fraud???
I’ve been calling for secession for nearly 15 years.
Kick the tires and light the fires!
I agree about the complexity of extricating ourselves from these people, but I’d rather have an option to call someplace home that is slightly more sane.
Better yet...move to West Virginia...even safer there.

“It would be a nation filled with seething people dying to
kill everyone who didn’t agree with them.”
It pretty much already is now.
There you have it. The shot cross the bow.
Yes, I agree.
All you need is a constitutional amendment that 37 states will ratify.
It might be smarter though just to jack up states rights and ban the federal government from spending money on anything other than the military, which is inherently a federal activity.
I’m not convinced any political enormity would be enough as long as our current societal conditions prevail. What we have going on now seems like a horrifically perfected and sustainable application of bread and circuses to me. No prior civil upheaval, violent or not, has ever occurred anywhere with even close to our current conditions.
