I was running a projector showing a movie whose title was: From Russia With Love, when another teacher came into our class crying that the president had been shot in Dallas. At that pointed he had not been declared dead. We were then sent home early.

I wasn’t born yet. Somehow, I was in gym class when I first heard about the Kennedy assassination.

75 years ago, I was living on a farm in W PA, 57 years ago, I had just gotten out of the Army, and was attending college and Kennedy was shot and killed by Lee Harvey Oswald with the help of Putin {err, maybe Putin's uncle}.
If Kennedy's old man hadn't paid off the Chicago mafia and the union thugs in WV, Nixon would have won and Kennedy would have been able to screw more bimbos than both of his brothers.

I was in my 8th period senior English class. A student came in and told us that the president had been shot and everyone though that it was the president of the student government.

Since I am a fellow dyslexic...here is what I remember about this date.
I was in 7th grade on a military base in Oklahoma. Earlier rumors had been spreading during lunch in the cafeteria that Kennedy had been shot. No one believed them at the time. The news was then formally told to us the next period.
It was received with mixed emotions. The girls cried but there were a lot comments like "It's about time".
It seems that time tempers our attitude but Kennedy wasn't that well liked until after the assassination. He went to Dallas because the politicians thought he had lost Texas and couldn't be re-elected.

November 22, 1963 (57 years ago), I was still in diapers and eating Gerber baby food. Therefore I have no specific memories of that day at all.
I hope that is helpful to this thread.

I think it’s wonderful and it gave me the chance to laugh about something, which is rare these days.

I was in second grade. The teacher got called out of the room in the middle of class, she came back crying...which caused all the girls in class to begin crying. Vacant me looked around wondering what was causing all the crying. Never did figure it out then. We were sent home way early which was cool, but I didn’t get what all the fuss was about. Just didn’t register at age 7, my world didn’t include any of that stuff then.
