Daughter's friend's mom is in ICU with COVID-19. She is not on ventilator, getting oxygen but going to use feeding tube because when she eats, oxygen goes down. She is early 60s...I don't know of any co-morbidities.
She is too late to use Rendesevir...that could have been used 10 days ago...
Anyone know if Zelenko protocol can be used for a late-case but prior to ventilator...
Any other thoughts or suggestions??
AND PRAYERS FOR ANN and HER FAMILY VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
I might check that out. I need to get a refill on my blood pressure medicine and the Dr refuses to do it at 6 months if I dont come in...and I am not going in. So I need to find a telemedicine site that will do a refill.
I think he said there was some law or maybe facility policy or something that you had to be seen twice a year which is why I had to come in.
I am not crazy about telemedicine but it is better than nothing
LOL....he calls HCQ dwizybeeb.
Cool. So you just e-mail any of the docs on that organization table/list? Thanks, I’ll give it a go.
Yep. We have an extended family agreement.....no matter what.....ambulance is to PASS by MH, and go straight to Methodist!!
Ivermectin is 12 mg a week x 8 weeks
I actually think that Plaquenil is better for prophylaxis as it has a 48 day half life. Additionally I cannot confirm or deny but perhaps I have been non prophylaxis since March and have not had a single issue — God Willing, and hypothetically this will continue until I can be vaccinated in 2 - 3 weeks.
No kidding. I have seen people talking about going and getting the horse medicine and trying to figure out the dosage.
This would have to be a last resort for me because I would likely screw it up. I dont even do that for my dog.
Another great article....
Daughter is “Tsunami-ing” her friend with all the great information on this thread!
I am so appreciative!
Wonder why some of these treatments were not done early on :(
Ivermectin! Get that medical team onboard right away.
Ivermectin Has been wonderfully effective at ALL stages of the disease, even severe pulmonary patients. HCQ on the other hand works best in early treatment.
Ivermectin plus doxycyclind and zinc is authorized for use in Australia and used widely in other countries!

poor thing..it is an avalanche of information to try to sort through with different drs having different ideas of what works and doesnt work.
I even have Cinchona bark in bark form and powder form just in case.
I will do everything possible to try to avoid a trip to the Ventilator.
Ivermectin is the best choice at this state.
Ivermectin is highly recommended by COVID researcher Paul E. Marik, MD. He is Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, VA.
Here is his 38-page protocol:

Good points...
I am asking daughter to inquire...
You would think after being in ICU for 10 days, someone might have checked...sadly daughter says it is not part of standard comprehensive metabolic panel.
We had not had an update for over a week...So daughter inquired...Very sad situation.
Wow..
Amazing summary of research on Ivermectin...
Thanks so much...
Forwarded it on, and I agree...
We are in deep blue state of IL...Soviet Republic of Chicagoland...I suspect a lot of very effective treatments are not being promoted w/in the medical community due to PC, etc.
The Ivermectin dose measurement for a horse is the same as for a person: 200 mcg/kg
The dispenser/syringe has a ruler on the handle marked for pounds of weight.
Take one dose of 200 mcg/kg immediately.
Take a second dose of 200 mcg/kg 24 hours later.
For logistical reasons, you can take both doses all at once if it will be hard to give a second dose on the second day. There are clinical trials using a single dose of 600 mcg/kg.
By the way, the “apple flavored” product you are referencing is the one to get. It is at Tractor Supply for $4.
Thank you for the conversion info.
Yes....I like/prefer the HCQ half life.
Continued health, and blessings, to you FRiend!!
Yes, it is really sad that it appears that none of these alternative treatments have been utilized...Wish I had known sooner and had an update sooner...
Probs does not help that the mom’s brother or sister (or bil or sil) are in charge of the COVID unit...
May be difficult for daughter to ask probing questions...but her mom has been in ICU for at least 10 days...:(
Her uncle said that one treatment (probs Zelenko protocol) could have worked 10 days ago...and my thot was well why the heck didn’t you do it???
I have some of the bark too—I think you may have recommended it to me...as well as quinine and tonic.
I am taking the Sandhus Zinc/Quercetin and D-3 daily as well as my USANA multi...but going to up the Vit. C.
Like you, don’t want trip to Ventilator—or even hospital for that matter.
A patient can, but not on life support. Additionally ICU -> ER would certainly rain regulatory issues. In my experience the patient would remain as unstable for transfer and the family would be barred from the hospital for interference in the safe care of a patient.
YMMV
During the first wave, my neighbor who is retired Army got the bad news he’s infected. Around May.
He’s 74.
Because the county hospital was full, he was on an awful line up and went home, collapsed at the street, called Uber to take him home and he prepared to die. Even wrote his will.
However, he took 6 tablets of VIT C and D COMBINED went to sleep and woke up 16 hours refreshed. Went back days later because the stupid hospital “lost” him,(and called him for a proper test) and it was negative. We saw the paperwork and looks legit. No medical cocktails etc.
Way overdosed
12 mg is the ideal dose for a standard adult. I may be tired but I think your dosing converts to 20 mg.
The proper dose is 12 mg/day x 5 days
Ivermectin is used routinely all over the world to control parasites
It is an FDA fairly benign drug prescribed for human scabies
It changes cell biochemistry so the cells actually kill the virus by denying proteins they need to replicate ( youtube medical lectures by MedCram and DrBeen)
There is probably little to lose and much to gain by getting her this treatment
Even if they have to go telemed to get a 2d or 3d opinion

You have a point. The relative in charge may have a more restrained view versus willing to try things.
I am sure there is a lot of friction among relatives like you mentioned of “WHY THE HELL DIDNT YOU TRY THIS”...especially if she dies.
just be aware high vitamin C can give you kidney stones so do your research
I have my various things in different stages since I dont go out much.
For example, Cinchona Bark is in the sick and freaking out that I have it stage.
Green Tea ECGC is in the went to the store so let me take it for a few days stage.
PVP iodine in nasal solution is let me snort it and kill what is in here when I get home.
Will be so glad when this passes and Drs get on the same page with how to treat it.
