A 26-year-old Black Lives Matter protester has been sentenced to 20 months behind bars for knocking a motorist unconscious in Portland, according to a report.
Marquise Love turned himself in to authorities after being caught on viral video kicking Adam Haner in the head and knocking him out outside the Multnomah County Justice Center on Aug. 12.

Well some day I hope to get to return the favor to a blm/antifa member.
I wonder what the sentencing. “Guidelines” are for Felony assault and battery are in Oregon?
20 months seems to me to be awful light, considering what was captured on video.
The penalty for Love’s attack on Haner is not enough. Our laws should provide that the victim be compensated for his medical expenses, pain and suffering and any loss of wages needlessly inflicted upon him by the heathen Love. Haner should be awarded a financial judgement, and Love should be required to pay Haner a percentage of all his future earnings until the debt is paid. A simple apology is grossly insufficient. Mr. Haner should not have to engage a lawyer to obtain this judgement. It should be provided in the criminal penalty of the law just as jail time and probation.
Yes, Love has been punished to an extent, but justice has not been delivered to Haner.
Our laws provide exactly that. It's called tort law: when someone harms another person with some form of intent (negligence, recklessness, deliberate intent) the person can sue for the things you listed and I'm sure this guy will do so.
The criminal law is about the harm that was done to society at large, which is much bigger than 20 months in prison in this case in my opinion.
THAT got him out of mommy's basement.
He was attempting to murder that man. I suppose he got a plea bargain to simple assault. I’m surprised they didn’t just let him go.
“Im surprised they didnt just let him go.”
They would’ve if there hadn’t been video...that made it to Tucker and Hannity’s shows.
Heck, without video, he probably wouldn’t even have been arrested.
Yes, 20 months for attempted murder does seem a little light.
“The penalty for Loves attack on Haner is not enough. Our laws should provide that the victim be compensated for his medical expenses, pain and suffering and any loss of wages needlessly inflicted upon him by the heathen Love.”
This was criminal court those issues are for a different case in civil court.
I just wish they would make the parents of Love pay for all of it if he cannot. When You raise a violent criminal there should be accountability for that too.
Im surprised they didnt arrest Adam Haner and charged him with assaulting the guys foot with his head.
“Mostly peaceful”.
