The penalty for Love’s attack on Haner is not enough. Our laws should provide that the victim be compensated for his medical expenses, pain and suffering and any loss of wages needlessly inflicted upon him by the heathen Love. Haner should be awarded a financial judgement, and Love should be required to pay Haner a percentage of all his future earnings until the debt is paid. A simple apology is grossly insufficient. Mr. Haner should not have to engage a lawyer to obtain this judgement. It should be provided in the criminal penalty of the law just as jail time and probation.

Yes, Love has been punished to an extent, but justice has not been delivered to Haner.

Our laws provide exactly that. It's called tort law: when someone harms another person with some form of intent (negligence, recklessness, deliberate intent) the person can sue for the things you listed and I'm sure this guy will do so.

The criminal law is about the harm that was done to society at large, which is much bigger than 20 months in prison in this case in my opinion.

This was criminal court those issues are for a different case in civil court.

I just wish they would make the parents of Love pay for all of it if he cannot. When You raise a violent criminal there should be accountability for that too.
