This Sunday, Nov. 2, will mark the end of daylight saving time for 2020.
I am pleased to share that, finally, serious legislative considerations — in several states — are underway in the quest to end the biannual rituals of changing from standard time to daylight saving time (DST). During the last 3 years, 13 states enacted legislation to provide for year-round daylight saving time if Congress were to allow such a change and, in some cases, if surrounding states would enact the same legislation, according to the website of the National Conference of State Legislatures. Full-time DST is not currently allowed by federal law and would require an act of Congress to make a change.

Year round DST!
Starting this year, Illinois will remain on DST year round.
I think that the internal clocks myself and my wife are an hour apart. as we aged, the clocks locked on. We live an hour apart.

I can adjust to the changes but the problem is my dog. She will still want to go out based on the old time.
Not being a farmer and having lived in New Hampshire most of my life, the clock changes are great. In the summer, you get an extra hour of sunlight after work, allowing all sorts of outdoor activities. In the winter, it’s not dark while kids are walking or riding their bikes to school.
It gets dark at 4:30PM in December and January. That’s OK because it’s cold and miserable outside and the kids are already home from school.
So, year round DST won’t work well in the north and DST is a big plus in the summer and fall for people who work the day shift. No changes please.
The World DOESN’T NEED the (U)seless (N)annys to exist to begin with.
Those of Us that have clocks and understand time could solve this problem.
The “turd world” knows Day and Night and could care less about Time Zones and Clocks. Heck they drink muddy water full of animal feces every day without even filtering out the big chunks with a t-shirt and boiling it which would reduce the death rate by probably 50-75%. What makes You think they care about Time Details ?

Not true. It’s dark when I get home on standard time in ALABAMA. I don’t care DST VS STD time but pick one and stay with it. Unfortunately so many devices are programmed to do it automatically and add our Chinese bribed Congress, no changes will be made. China has nothing to do with it but I like pointing out most politicians are on the take from China.

Why can’t people adapt to the change instead of changing the clock to trick people? since I was a kid about 7 or 8, I thought it was a dumb idea. I am 77 and have hardened on that thought more every year!
