ALBANY, NYIn a swift and decisive response to skyrocketing crime, unemployment, and pandemic deaths, Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York is demanding to know who is responsible for this mess so he can hold them accountable.
"This is bad -- really, really, bad," said Cuomo to reporters. Whoever is running this state into the ground must be held accountable for their terrible mismanagement! I promise to get to the bottom of this because I am a fantastic leader," he said while holding up a copy of his latest leadership book: American Crisis.
Cuomo's administration looked throughout the entire state of New York but couldn't find any Republicans who they could blame for the terrible condition of the state.
Eventually, they found the culprit: a town treasurer in rural Chautauqua named Dale Smithers. "Dale is the worst!" said Governor Cuomo. "He's a Trump supporter and I have evidence he may have mismanaged his town's budget of 42 dollars!
New York's leadership brought Mr. Smithers before a tribunal and forced him to answer for his poor leadership. Cuomo then wrote another bestselling book about the experience.
I recommend he look into a mirror to see one of the main partners of DeBlasio’s in destroying the city.
I missed seeing that this is from the Babylon Bee. That answers my other question: Why is Cuomo finally asking this?
That would be Trumps fault
Oh, it’s from the Bee. It’s humor alright, but it’s the kind that hurts.
Partners in crime, fer shure.
Especially if you live in NY. I don't, thank goodness.
When Cuomo set up the Moreland Commission to Investigate Public Corruption, he told reporters that it would be completely independent. After an investigation into the closing of the Noreland Commission, the SDNY cleared Cuomo on the orders of U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara.Anything they want to look at they can look at me, the lieutenant governor, the attorney general, the comptroller, any senator, any assemblyman, he said. They have total ability to look at whatever they want to look at.
But when reports arose that he was meddling in its investigations, he changed his tune.
The Moreland Commission was my commission, he said. Its my commission. My subpoena power, my Moreland Commission. I can appoint it, I can disband it. I appoint you, I can un-appoint you tomorrow. So, interference? Its my commission. I cant 'interfere' with it, because it is mine. It is controlled by me.
I was gonna joke that this sounded like the BB.
Fake but accurate perhaps
The Babylon Bee, where satire and reality are interchanged.
