We used to 4WD not to far from there, more than once my wife suggested we 'retreat'; I had to explain it is not that easy. We had an Isuzu Trooper, not a 30 foot box truck.

He could just drive straight forward. By the time the rear wheels clear the road the truck will blow up anyway. I learned this from Hollywood movies...

I have driven over Engineer Pass. I dont see how a 30 ft box truck could get far.I caught a ride over that pass about 45 years ago, in the back of a pickup truck. About froze my fanny off...
