USAA has committed $50 million to nonprofit organizations over the next three years to help improve racial equality and positively address the employment, educational and economic disparities that exist within communities of color and low-income military communities. The goal of our targeted contributions is to help close gaps across education and job training, employment and income disparity.

You want the Trump plan then. More jobs = more equality.

I’ve been considering a switch to USAA, this ends that.

I’m so sick and tired of the rich and powerful, lecturing the rest of us about things that only the rich and powerful have the ability to fix.

I’m really happy to see them wasting my money on this instead of useful things like getting an email system that could actually accept a dash camera file. But then they could actually view it instead of just calling me a liar for 3 months.

Hammer the board over this moronic maneuver. That is members money not a slush fund. There is a blog for members to participate in and voice opinions. When they shutdown advertising on Fox news we broke that cycle real quick and the board backtracked. Now not that I like USAA advertising because I am totally against spending a dime on it. If you were in the military you know about it. This latest maneuver proves the company has more non military members through legacy. Good ideas have bad consequences.

The money would be better spent lowering their insureds’ premiums. It’s clear their policyholders aren’t their first priority.

I would give Farmers Insurance grief everytime they made one of those "are you satisfied" calls, I would say "I'd be even happier if you stopped spamming me with mail and phone calls and reduced my premiums accordingly. I don't need to be nannied. I'm a grown man."

I don't think my feedback was ever forwarded.

I see absolutely no downside to a company simply saying, “We’re not political.” Period.

For what it’s worth, I’ve seen unmistakable evidence of serious decline In USAA for several years now. I used to use them for all of my financial services, but in the last two years I’ve watched the following:

1. They sold off their investment management company to Victory Capital.
2. They sold their retirement accounts to Charles Schwab.
3. I learned that they aren’t underwriting conventional mortgages anymore. Only VA loans these days.
4. They weren’t competitive on my last car loan.

I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m no longer a member five years from now.

Unless and until the only education people in colored communities get is how to work the system and how to birth them babies for hard cash nothing will change.

This is just extortion money.

Some here posted that in 2020 US dollars, since 1964 the Federal Government has spent $27 Trillion on programs and benefits for blacks.

I want my $27 Trillion back.

Let BLM pay the way from now on.

Frankly, this is never going to happen as long as blacks see getting an education as a “white thang”.

I am a 50+ year member of USAA. I cannot complain about service but then again have not had any claims in over 10 years so don’t have any current data. My big concern is that they still keep about $5G in my SSA and I figure I’ve paid my dues. I have been considering looking at options for auto and homeowners and would be happy to join a group also inclined to do this.

And math as racist.

Then they will forever be at the bottom.

Doesn’t bother me. That’s the part they don’t get.

Their problem is that they buy into the dem narrative.

That can end up being a deadly mistake.

A waste of $50MM.

There will never be racial equality until the education gap is closed. Money will not get it done. Look at all the millions poured into Headstart. Yet Headstart alumni are teaching the new generation of Headstart participants.

It is up to the Black community to embrace and support excellence in education performance.

USAA was a great company.

Then, they started focusing on San Antonio.

They built a theme park in San Antonio.

They built a retirement home in San Antonio.

They put their employees ahead of their customers.

They spend way too much on advertising.

As for this money, if the board wants to donate their own money, then fine.

Take a look at their board.

This sounds very similar to what my "big bank" employer has decreed in the last week or so, in addition to adhering to the Paris climate accord.

Apparently the "right amount of money" given to left wing organizations can help keep the average temperature from rising by more than 2 degrees Fahrenheit over next 30 years.

These virtue-signaling proclamations appear to be a hedge against a democrat takeover in November. The dems will definitely target the big banks and other "evil" corporations, so if the corporations can get a ahead of the game by voluntarily genuflecting at the altar of 'wokeness' with some tithes to appease the mob, perhaps they will be spared the full wrath of the leftist hordes.

As past and recent history have shown; there is no appeasing the leftist mob. No matter what sacrifice you make, or 'tribute' you pay it will never be enough.
