A new mum and dad have incorporated 'Twifia' into their baby daughter's name to bag themselves free internet until she is an adult, but say they feel "a little ashamed" by their decision
Two new parents have taken up an internet provider's offer of free WiFi for 18 years in exchange for naming their baby in honour of the company.
Swiss internet provider Twifi is currently advertising the offer on its website, stating that parents who name their little ones Twifius or Twifia will surf the web free of charge until their offspring becomes an adult.
It reads: "Simply upload a photo of your child's civil birth certificate. After verification, Twifi will give you 18 years of free internet."
And one 30 and 35-year-old couple, who chose to remain anonymous, are said to have taken Twifi up on the offer by naming their baby girl Twifia.
The parents, who have used it as the girl's second middle name, say they will put the money they would otherwise have spent on WiFi into a savings account for their daughter, hoping she will be able to learn to drive and buy a car when she turns 18, Kidspot reports.
The dad said: "The longer I thought about it, the more unique the name became for me, and that was when the thing got its charm."

And when the company changes it name to Swissnet next year whatll they do?
This is probably how the people on idiocracy got their names.
Tylenol Jones, anyone?
Ladasha
Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho.
He was probably born before Brawndo purchased the FDA and the whole food groups pyramid.
The dash don’t be silent.
I’ve seen stupider baby names where the parents weren’t paid anything.
Back in my skool daze, there was a classmate of mine whose actual first name was “Coke”.
Crazy parents. I know our 7 year old has an unusual name (Aodian, irish for fire), but we didn’t name him after a company.
You spell it Aodian?
Heck, if this can happen, I’ll change my name to Häagen-Dazs.
Yes Aodian means Little Fire. Aodh is the Irish God of Fire.
