John Boyega has slammed Disney for 'sidelining' his Star Wars character and giving 'all the nuance' to his white co-stars Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley.
The actor, 28, portrayed the franchise's first black Stormtrooper, in The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker and told how he thinks Disney marketed his character as being 'much more important' than he actually was.
Speaking in an interview with the October issue of British GQ magazine, he said: 'You get yourself involved in projects and you're not necessarily going to like everything.

I think I’ve only watched just the one movie of the current Star Wars trilogy. The problem I had with these new crop of characters is the worst thing you can have happen, that it’s not that you hate them, but that you just simply don’t care.
Boyega and the rest of the bunch have the charisma of boiled potatoes. Better writing wouldn’t improve it. They need better actors.

Seriously? The new franchise under Disney is an unmitigated disaster. And it’s not from a lack of diversity, genius.

Yeah, the prequels ten years ago sucked, I saw the first of the three (?) recent ones, and realized, not only do they suck, but I also am no longer 20 years old. :^)
His character was crap, he’s right about that. But the same is true of all characters in Disneywars. They were all crap.
I already saw enough of these damned sequels. They promised The Last Jedi would be the end, but noooo! They just gotta keep going. Boring. Too boring to even say “booooring”. Just flat-out boring. In fairness to Disney, Lady and the Tramp 2 had some real good artwork, and Don Knots as a comical dog catcher. But I don’t even want to know what most Disney sequels are about.
I was 9 when the first trilogy concluded in 1983, and it was apparent Lucas was already bored with it (that silly business with the Ewoks). The second trilogy was just meh, though the special effects were great. The acting wasn’t. Emo Anakin just didn’t work. With that ultra-Emo dude from the execrable “Girls” show as the villain in the turd trilogy, it is just pathetically bad.
Plus, they just can’t stop injecting evil Stalinazi politics into every f**king film. They ruined Star Trek, too, for which I was a much bigger fan. I refuse to watch STD and Pee Card.
There are still some good entertainment values on Netflix, though. I’m thoroughly enjoying Kobra Kai and Gotham. The Marvel titles were great, too, until Disney bought Marvel, swallowed it whole, and burped.

Disney Star Wars isn’t Star Wars.
I mean, we learn why in the last movie, but yes, it was a great mystery before that, and since they didn’t deal with it at all, kind of a magic moment thing.
It is easy to “shock” people watching a movie, if you simply ignore a fact until you need it. That is the cheap way of writing.

Actually I don’t disagree with this dude, huge BLM shitlib that he is. I found his character (ex-Stormtrooper, conscripted as a small child) more interesting than “Rey” but he was definitely underutilized (despite being pretty much billed as a co-lead, it definitely was not his story). He and the main white dude seem like ok actors too. “Rey” btw can’t find work other than voice acting.
Terrible films, can’t call it “trilogy” other than having the same characters there was little to bind them. The middle one was actually the best, at least it had some originality.

Baby Yoda show is ok though. I heard an Obi Wan show is coming.
