John Boyega has slammed Disney for 'sidelining' his Star Wars character and giving 'all the nuance' to his white co-stars Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley.
The actor, 28, portrayed the franchise's first black Stormtrooper, in The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker and told how he thinks Disney marketed his character as being 'much more important' than he actually was.
Speaking in an interview with the October issue of British GQ magazine, he said: 'You get yourself involved in projects and you're not necessarily going to like everything.

Disney was not amused.
jarjar was an experiment to see if it was possible to make a 100% digital character. In that sense he succeeded. But jarjar is one of those Lucas blind spots as I have never heard him admit as comic relief jj stunk.
I would rather have Lucas than woke kennedy.
...the most despised franchise character since Wesley Crusher.
I “hated” Wesley. It is too bad when Wesley was sentence to death on some remote planet and Picard violated the Prime Directive and got him set free.

He’s a Brit, why can’t they find American black actors?
LOL, they demanded token parts and now complain that the parts are token parts.
LOL
“Finn” was one of the 3 worst characters in Star Wars history. I kept hoping he would die. But he never did.
I know! It sounds like hes outraged that he got a more prominent role than the other two. Had he gotten the more nuanced role, he would have whined that he got a lesser role. Racism - they gotcha either way.
He’s on other videos spouting off about systemic racism, oppression, etc..
Snowflake.
I thought they were cloned from Jango Fett played by Temuera Morrison who was Maori.
Where do the black aliens in Star Wars come from?
RC is the best.
The Black Panther is most disturbed about all of this.
I was perfectly happy knowing Lando Calrissian was the only black guy left in the universe.
Oh boy, so Finn wasnt that important, eh?
Actually, I was disappointed in these Disney movies as I didnt really understand where any of these characters was important.
FGS, Poe basically was hardly in the first movie, and I didnt quite get why he had such command with the rest.
The build-up of character and why they should even care about each other was poor. I never understood why Rey suddenly was treated as this great chosen one, nor FTM her constant long looks and hugging with Leia. I mean, FGS, how does she really know her? Why would Leia get so personal with this stupid girl in rags?
“Racism - they gotcha either way.”
Exactly, the Race Card is a wild card, can be played at any time for any reason and beats all other cards or combination of cards.
What you just heard is the war cry of a marginal actor wanting a job !
