Q is the result of the sacrifices and commitment of countless patriots to win back our captured country from the Deep State and achieve the transformation President Trump promised in this campaign video. President Trump has said the awakening of the public is key to this transformation.
Q describes this awakening as follows:

When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.
You are not alone and you are not in the minority.

That would bring up a lot of weird legal issues. There were questions about Gerald Ford having the ability to pardon Nixon, when Nixon hadn't been charged with any crimes. It was moot, because no one pursued charges. Essentially, Ford actually said, "Don't bother bringing charges, because I'll pardon him, even if he's found guilty."
So, the ability of a president to pardon crimes before a person is charged is still an open question. In the world where law matters, a grand jury could have still recommended charges, Nixon could have been convicted, and Ford would have had to issue an actual pardon, rather than the threat of a pardon he used to explain why no one was pursuing Nixon after he was removed from office.
Obama also couldn't pardon Brennan for crimes committed after the date of the pardon.
Slide: after the revelation that "deep throat" was FBI Deputy Director Mark Felt, it was obvious that Woodward and Bernstein were functioning as stenographers, rather than reporters, and that the Washington Post was functioning as the propaganda arm of the FBI.
The deep state had Nixon out of office, and they didn't want public legal proceedings that might damage the narrative.

I went to the NYC Tea Party Rally hosted by Newt...it was fun and my first and only real protest. When it was over, everyone walked quietly to the subway and went home.

The mindset is still there, believe me! Have you ever been to a Trump rally? That is where the Tea Party people are. Good people that care about the country, that believe that our Constitutional Republic is worth fighting for - while the RINO contingent sought to take over the tea party movement, Trump came on the scene and reassembled the good people.
The left hates Trump supporters. The RINO contingent of the Republican Party hates us. Just as they ignored and put down the initial Tea Party movement. But we are what the country needs.
Dollars to donuts, a large portion of the Q followers also supported/support the Tea Party movement.

There is some truth to that, but this occurred before Glenn Beck was deemed "mentally unstable" (or whatever he was called) by the deep state media. One thing of note for that event - Pelosi was speaker and she and the DC politicians in charge decided to ban busses near the venue that day, so we all packed into the metro and rode in by rail. Train after train after train PACKED with patriots. They weren't going to stop us.
