The Trumpian era of political debate began when he declared his candidacy for President. There are no longer debates over issues like taxes or gun control, instead what you get are violent reactions, personal attacks, and conspiracy theories about Trump as a Russian asset.
Two place cards have replaced Intellectual debate. The left is quick to play the race card whenever they are unable to support their radical agenda. The second is the “fascism” card. For years, the left has used the race card to quell dissent; however, the left added the fascist card to the deck because the race card was not working on Trump. Blacks understood the message that the left’s immigration policy was partly responsible for displacing black unskilled workers and Democrat city and state officials had failed to improve educational systems and living conditions in poor black neighborhoods.
Having failed in attacking Trump using the traditional methods that were highly effective against Republicans, the left had to devise a new plan. They decided to try to impeach Trump on trumped up charges. When it became clear to everyone who has a brain, or at least can think rationally, that the Democrat Party had manufactured fake charges against Trump, the left had to find a different solution. Whether it was fate or some more sinister mechanism, COVID-19 gave the left the perfect plan. Trump’s popularity was inextricably tied to his close and intimate relationship with his rally goers. If the left could stop the rallies, a generic Democrat might be able to beat Trump.
The virus presented the perfect solution. First the media had to convince everyone that the COVID was so dangerous that if they went outside without wearing a mask, they risked serious illness and even death. The need to social distance was uniquely suited to prevent Trumpian rallies and had the added benefit of giving Biden cover. As long as Trump has to run against a generic democrat the left has the best chance to defeat him, but if Uncle Joe, the likable, harry legged man who loves to have children sit on his lap has to make public appearances, then he becomes the candidate and not the generic Democrat. If the left can keep the COVID scare alive Uncle Joe can be kept in quarantined in his basement, he will not have to speak in public, and will not have to debate Trump

Well, it’s easy to mistype and miss an error.
My bugaboo is people who post from cell phones - they may spell everything correctly, but smart phones aren’t all that smart, and they garble things.
It’s incredible what has transpired.

I only got my first smart phone a year ago, and still don’t really know how to use it.
(I remember the first time i heard someone say, “I must have butt-called you’. Took me a long time to figure that one out...)

It’s pretty clear by now that Trump’s rally a while back did not create a virus crisis like the libs hoped it would. We’d have heard about it if it had.
