I think you have him confused with Don Gordon, who used to appear a lot with Steve McQueen. RIP John Saxon.

He & his wife moved into an assisted living complex in Tennessee about 3 years ago.

That post-TOS Klingon in the photo progression is from the first Star Trek feature film. That’s Mark Lenard, adding a third alien character to his Trek resume’.

I also might be thinking of “Earth II” - though John Saxon was in so many things, it is hard for me to recall what I most remember him for I guess. He has things still to be released, so he kept working for 60+ years.

Right. It was the first incarnation of what we expect a Klingon to look like. Lenard got to play a Vulcan and a Romulan in TOS, then a Klingon in ST:TMP, and five times more as Sarek in ST:III, IV, VI, and two episodes of ST:TNG. I suppose if you’re going to be typecast, that’s not a bad run.

Sad to hear. Saxon was one of those faces that seemed to everywhere on tv in the late ‘60’s and ‘70s.

I recall an Outer Limits where he played a deep cover agent investigating aliens. Please do a little research before posting cr*p like that!
You are thinking of the original series episode "The Invisibles" (season 1, episode 19), which starred Don Gordon as a "GIA" deep-cover agent who had penetrated an organization controlled by furry little monstrosities.
John Saxon never appeared in any episode of "The Outer Limits" (not even of the for-the-most-part cruddy revival series).

PapillionI think that you must be referring to the film "Papillon," in which the great, late, lamented Don Gordon had a role.
John Saxon didn't appear in that film.

Sad news. He was a good actor, and being a martial arts man myself, Enter the Dragon was always one of my favorites.
RIP.
