NEW YORK (AP) - Thousands of marchers dressed in white flooded several blocks around the Brooklyn Museum to support human rights for black transgender people Sunday afternoon.

Organizers included the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, the Okra Project and Black Trans Femmes in the Arts. Scheduled speakers included transgender activist Raquel Willis, author Ceyenne Doroshow and the family of Layleen Polanco, a transgender woman who died after an epileptic seizure in solitary confinement last June at Rikers Island jail.

The march comes days after the reported deaths of two black transgender women, Dominique “Rem'mie” Fells in Philadelphia and Riah Milton in Liberty Township, Ohio. Both are being investigated as homicides.

the AP piece doesn’t seem concerned about the lack of social distancing, etc.

however, note the first question from ASSOCIATED PRESS, following statements from CDC’s Redfield and Butler. and Lena Sun’s question.
Trump campaign rally is FakeNewsMSM’s only concern when it comes to crowds.

NOTE: no-one from CDC or media mentions attendance at BLM protests/riots:

12 Jun: CDC Media Release: Transcript - CDC Media Telebriefing: Update on COVID-19
FIRST QUESTION FROM MEDIA:
Mike Stobbe, ASSOCIATED PRESS: Thank you for taking my call. So there are two sets of guidance. One of them is about holding or attending mass gatherings. That includes political rallies. Can you comment on whether the CDC is saying that political rallies are okay right now?

JAY BUTLER: Yeah, thanks for that question, mike. So, first of all, the guideline is really for any type of gathering, whether it’s the backyard barbecue or something larger. And it’s not intended to endorse any particular type of event, but to be able to be applicable to any type of event that may occur. So the most important things are some of those issues related to being able to maintain social distancing, having access to hand hygiene, encouraging face coverings, and, of course, not attending events if you are ill or have recently been exposed to COVID-19...

Lena Sun, WASHINGTON SUN: Thank you very much for taking my call, Dr. Butler, Dr. Redfield, and I hope we can continue this on a regular basis going forward. Regarding the mass gatherings, president trump has announced that he is going to hit the campaign trail next week. The RNC has also announced they are going to hold a convention and they are not going to ask people to wear masks. Given the considerations that you have put out here about wearing cloth coverings when people are singing or shouting or chanting, I’m wondering whether you need — whether the CDC is concerned about this way of seeding more infections as people are going to be in a closed indoor space and not wearing masks and what additional suggestions you might have.

JAY BUTLER: Thanks for that easy question, Lena. So the guidelines I think speak for themselves, and they are not regulations. They are not commands. But they are recommendations or even suggestions, is I believe how it’s titled, of how you can have a gathering that will keep people as safe as possible...

Carl O’Donnell, REUTERS: Hi, this is carl. So I just wanted to ask, there is a number of states, Arizona, Texas, North Carolina have, you know, significantly relaxed social distancing, and what we have seen is that that seems to have translated not only into higher case counts, which could be a function of testing, but also hire hospitalization rates. Do you guys have any concern that some states relaxed their social distancing measures too early?

I just wish they could come together like this, (even for one week), in their neigborhoods to make the changes they need to.....but then that means working.

Wow. Dnaiel Patrick Moynihan was way ahead of his time with warning that we were “defining deviancy down.”. Can it go lower? When deviants are running our cities and many states?
As far as NYC, I have a beloved relative who lives right near this “protest”. I may never see her again because I don’t want to set foot in such a sick city. It’s a tragedy that after “coming back”, NYC is now lower than ever.

I would not be surprised if the number of marchers likely did not outnumbered the actual entire population of black transgender persons in the US.

Bizarre. But maybe not.

When you read through the “mission statement” of BLM, gays and trannies seem to be a big part of their “mission.” I don’t think most black people know this.

But the crowd here looks pretty young and pretty prosperous and pretty woke, so it’s no surprise.

That’s because BLM, Inc. is a Commie-Front with all the rest of these organizations.

I know that many people living in countries outside the USA but who have never been there , because of the over-representation of blacks in movies , tv shows ...and their pre-dominance in the NBA and NFL which are popular all over the world ...+ their dominance in the music culture ...they think that 40% of the US pop. is black , when it’s just 13% !
