articles on spread of virus.

Summary: asymptomatics spread it through close contact: someone in home, or close at work.
Symptomatics spread it in casual contact.
That asymptomatic spread was what fooled our health system-and everyone else too.
Tricky little devil.

We do not plan cukes up here (N CT) until June—they are very sensitive to temps below 40—so I would definitely protect them.

so an interesting video using some kind of roll out net that professional cuke growers use . You can use it in raised beds.

I think I am going to have to print out why I am going to take a certain vitamin if I get covid and put everything in a Wuhan Flu box.

I might feel too bad to figure it out later or try to search it...plus if someone has to come in and help me they are going to be like WTF is all this S^^%^

Cold crops - brassicas, peas, onions, garlic, rhubarb, asparagus should be fine. Those grown from seed in ground will tolerate cold more as well. But things planted as seedlings in the last two weeks without truly being hardened off need cover. I would extend this to all tender crops with branching leaves. If wind is a problem, then row covers can damage tender leaves. I often use boxes, pails, etc with a nice rock on top for individual plants.

Wife and I probably have 300 seedlings in 3 “ pots waiting for temperatures to stabilize before planting.

Is high VEGF just a defense mechanism, and will inhibiting it help? People are throwing so much biochem and pharmacology at the immune response just to see what sticks. Proinflammatory cytokines like the often mentioned IL-6 increase VEGF. Inhibit the IL-6 and you might inhibit the VEGF, if it even matters. I think the high $$$ Tocilizumab is the currently in favor drug to inhibit IL-6 in critical COVID patients.

You have to be hospitalized to get it.

I think the Genetech drug will work...BUT..your Dr at the hospital has to be able to get it..and that is still a problem.

Since I already have a number of issues on a daily basis that are seen with Wuhan Flu I am going to be prepared.

Wow! Good info is getting SO technical!

And... “outside report”:
Saw an “Emergen-C” or such product with C,D, and Zinc at the Dollar General. I think that’s new.
No masks on staff or customers, they now have vegetables ( the expensive Bird’s Eye ones, but still better than canned).
Pr5evious rumor of a local case turned out to be wrong (small town, we all love gossip).

If you get WUhan flu in the next month I think it will be hard to get a script for something that works/might work if you aren’t in the hospital.

So you have to try to figure things that will do the same thing.

The best thing you can do if circumstances allow is to stay the heck at home and ride it out until you can easily get meds.

Look at Pence’s assistant. She was out Thursday with no mask at a nursing home.

Now she has it and who knows who she spread it to.

Thanks! I always plant them in May, but I’ve never had so many nights with low temps before! I covered everything with 5 gallon buckets and tarps 🙂🙏🤞

Yeah, I’m able to protect myself easily. Low danger in my area.

Funny that China called it “the Wuhan virus” from the beginning- but no one is allowed to call it that now!
