We do not plan cukes up here (N CT) until June—they are very sensitive to temps below 40—so I would definitely protect them.

so an interesting video using some kind of roll out net that professional cuke growers use . You can use it in raised beds.

Thanks! I always plant them in May, but I’ve never had so many nights with low temps before! I covered everything with 5 gallon buckets and tarps 🙂🙏🤞
