BREAKTHROUGH: Antibody that blocks infection of Coronavirus discovered by scientists

AN antibody which prevents coronavirus from infecting human cells has been discovered by scientists.

Researchers from Utrecht University in the Netherlands, as well as the Erasmus Medical Centre and the company Harbour BioMed (HBM), identified it as a potential method of neutralising Covid-19.

And while the team's discovery was made on human cells grown in the laboratory - they are hopeful it will have the same effect on patients.

The breakthrough offers hope of a treatment or even a vaccine for the deadly virus, which has infected more than 3.5 million people worldwide, and led to more than 248,000 deaths.

Study co-lead author Professor Berend-Jan Bosch said the new antibody targets the deadly bug's infamous 'spike protein.'

The virus hooks onto a locking point on human cells to insert its genetic material, make multiples copies of itself and spread throughout the body.

Prof Bosch, Research leader at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, said: "Such a neutralising antibody has potential to alter the course of infection in the infected host, support virus clearance or protect an uninfected individual that is exposed to the virus."

It could lead to a therapy that would be given to somebody immediately after they become infected or exposed.

The antibody binds to an enzyme called ACE2 that acts as the viruses 'doorway' to cells.

Covid-19 is an infectious disease triggered by a strain known as Sars-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus).

VIRUS NEUTRALISED

It is spread through small respiratory droplets from sneezing or coughing - leading to fever, cough and difficulty breathing.

In tests the monoclonal antibody neutralised Sars-CoV-2 - however, further studies are planned to see if the findings translate to the clinic.

Prof Bosch and his colleagues identified it from 51 cell lines from mice that had been engineered to carry human genes.

(EXCERPT)

Dr Frank Grosveld, the study’s other co-lead author, said the discovery provided “a strong foundation for additional research to characterise this antibody and begin development as a potential COVID-19 treatment”.

“The antibody used in this work is ‘fully human’, allowing development to proceed more rapidly and reducing the potential for immune-related side effects,” he added.

The fully-human antibody is different from conventional therapeutic antibodies, which are often first developed in other species before being “humanised” so they can be transmitted to people.

It was developed using Harbour BioMed’s H2L2 transgenic mouse technology - effectively a mouse which has been genetically engineered to contain human genes, enabling researchers to develop “human” antibodies without testing them on living people.

“This is groundbreaking research,” said Dr Jingsong Wang, the chief executive of HBM.

[[VIRUS NEUTRALISED]]

Hmmm- HCQ + Antibiotic + zinc does- renders the virus incapable of spreading too, and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to take either-

With other research exploring how ACE inhibitors used to control hypertension may (or may not) create higher risk of contracting COVID-19, I’d say they are making serious progress on this thing.

and available now

and its characteristics have been known for decades

and its effective

which is why the powers that be don’t want people using it

because it ends the emergency lockdowns too soon, and takes away their amazing crisis opportunity

they still have many things to push through and want the sheeple here and elsewhere begging them and supporting them as the real goal of whittling away liberties and freedoms advances

Another “breakthrough” in a test tube that will be ready in five years, after we’ve already been immunized “the hard way” by actually catching the thing and getting over it. By the time all of these expensive “vaccines” and “cures” are actually ready, this virus will be over with anyhow.

The antibody binds to an enzyme called ACE2

It doesnt attach to the virus. So... does this antibody prevent natural systems from that receptor? Its not a trivial enzyme and blocking native processes can lead to unwanted things.

where are you getting the quinine? and how much? Tonic water you woudl need to drink about 3 liters of it to come close ot a dose you would get in hospital for the virus from what I’ve read on tonic water-

also note- just a precaution- a person can suddenly develop a serious allergic reaction to quinine- even those who have taken it for years with no issues- but I do think that is very rare- just be aware that it ‘could happen’ but chances of developing it are very very low i guess-

Someone suggested quercitin too- not sure how much to take- but supposed o work i guess like quinine-
