US Attorney General Bill Barr on Tuesday said he may go after Governors who insist on maintaining authoritarian Coronavirus lockdown orders.
The DOJ could take legal action against Governors drunk on power and infringing on Constitutional rights, Bill Barr said according to Bloomberg News.
Barr said on “The Hugh Hewitt Show” that state’s stay-at-home orders are justified up to a point, but the DOJ could target state and local officials by joining lawsuits filed by citizens over the authoritarian restrictions.
“We have to give businesses more freedom to operate in a way that’s reasonably safe,” Barr said, according to Bloomberg. “To the extent that governors don’t and impinge on either civil rights or on the national commerce — our common market that we have here — then we’ll have to address that.”

IN Gov. Holcomb also is UPSET at protesters. Saying that they are doing more harm then good. That they THREATEN the opening of the state!!!!!!
Where’s my girl in green shirt?
Same thing with Jay Insleaze and Kate Brownshirt.
Barr should have already pursued this. By not going after these tyrant Governors, and Mayors, he is basically condoning their behavior. If they aren’t stopped now, they will only be emboldened.
Do it!
1984
Doublespeak is saying one thing and meaning another, usually its opposite. In 1984 when BIG BROTHER and the Party say PEACE they mean WAR, when they say LOVE they mean HATE, and when they say FREEDOM they mean SLAVERY.
AG Barr - all talk, no action.
Please do this!!!
I think Trump blew it on handing everything over to the governors, but that’s probably because he didn’t realize (and neither did I or most of their state’s citizens) that they were all little Hitlers in waiting.
I would hope that this would be a warning shot across the bow for some of these budding dictators masquerading as governors. I say let the lawsuits commence with great gusto. And if I were a plaintiff I would sue the bastards individually as well as them acting in their capacity as Governor.

Some prosecutions for violation of rights would be nice too.
I believe it is the right of the tax-paying citizenry, to determine if a state governor’s domicile needs immediate renovating.
They paid for it.
what is the source of federal power to supersede a governor’s powers to regulate an emergency in his own state?
“...AG Barr - all talk, no action....”
Exactly.
“...IF you gotta shoot, SHOOT. Don’t talk.” Tuco
“Blew it” nothing. That is how such emergencies work. He cannot be a dictator.
Indiana Governor Dimbulb ought to be thankful that the recent protestors were just waving signs. Hoosiers are pretty slow to rile but the next time could see a lot more protestors and they might be waving things that go bang if things dont change pretty damn fast.
Head ‘em up, move ‘em out!
