yes, at the end of the exchange he said exactly that before cutting her off and going to the next person.

Haven’t seen her at the briefings since the incident with the survivors.

The patio pickers planting boxes....so far...have no weeds, due to the mulch cover.

We’ll see, over the next few weeks, if this happy trend continues.

I like that cultivator/tiller, tho, PA :-)

Yes....that’s the renaissance (domestic manufacturing) that I am praying for, too.

The way he said something like

“they know exactly where it came from”

was said in such a way that seemed to be more than oh some virus started in nature inside of the Chinese country.

Maybe in 50 years info will be released that shows more of the story...or when they overthrow their Commie President

Wasn’t the Chapel Hill research in 2016, for Mers, and not Sars ??

https://sph.unc.edu/sph-news/unc-researchers-create-first-model-of-mers-cov-virus-in-mouse-populations/

That was a whole 4 second search. But facts never stopped conspiracies meant to portray the US as culpable - too many are more than willing to pile on.

But hey, let’s go whole hog, what the hell - we can implicate Oxford and Cambridge, too, and India, and Australia, France, Germany, Israel, Russia, and every other country that is not China as long as it advances Panda Propaganda that America is the origin of all sin, eh?

I should top up all the motorcycles, lawn mower gas cans and 2 F150 trucks. The only gas being burned right now is in one F150 dropping my wife at work and picking her up. Commuting distance is 1.4 miles one-way. 6 miles X 4 days per week. Gas lasts a long time under those conditions.

We had 4 inches of snow 2 days ago. Slushy, then icy streets with +24F in the morning. Still early for motorcycling.

And once again, I will point out that THE Wuhan bat lady worked on the CHapel Hill project...just using a different version of her name in the notes for some reason

CBS This Morning is still parading her around like the new David who slew goliath Trump - they live in another world.

Dear moronic law makers,

I no longer take my cell phone with me on local trips. It could get contaminated. How you gonna track me ?

I am really really interested as to why you pretend that the Chapel Hill experiment didnt involve exactly the type of thing that this turned into...SARS with Horseshoe Bat.

Why pretend that article after scientific article after scientific article on this experiment done with the Wuhan Bat Lady and Chapel Hill doesn’t use the word SARS

and btw, I know this is not the first time you have tried to claim that Chapel Hill and Wuhan had no connection

It’s quite curious when now we know it IS the same lady just using a different version of her name.

I have never implied that this outbreak came from Chapel Hill..but you always seem to slide that denial in there

It’s very weird

Ok, I understand about packaging hang-ups (restaurant suppliers don’t use the same packaging we see in grocery stores) and so on, but per the article a lot of what’s going on is simple lack of demand. That brings up interesting questions the article does not address.

People still have to eat.

Are they literally eating less? (I suppose that is possible, as “portion control” may be easier at home than at the buffet, etc. I know I used to have a tendency to “try to get my money’s worth” if I went to a buffet, but then I was a very active skinny guy who never put on any weight until I was in my late 40’s. When I went to trade shows in Las Vegas, I’d hit those breakfast buffets and be good until supper (usually around 8-9 pm), then would be ready for another huge meal. Yeah, I know, it was probably not a good pattern, but I didn’t start putting on weight until I started eating on a more regular “normal” schedule!

Are people wasting less food? Now, me, I’m a “Scrooge” and if I (my family) splurges by going to a restaurant, anything left over (except in the very rare case of some serving not liked) goes home in the “doggie bag” to be eaten later. Usually not by the dog! At home, leftovers go in the fridge. (My daughter does not eat a lot and is really bad about dishing up more food that she will eat — Mom or I usually end up with the leftovers to eat at the next meal, if the leftovers are still palatable, anyway.) However, I know huge amounts of restaurant food are typically left behind by patrons, and I’ve seen a lot of that at homes, parties, etc., as well.

How much does the shift away from restaurants affect peoples’ diets? I can see this as being significant, but would it result in less dairy and meat consumption if the above factors are already accounted for? Literally, are people eating more salads & veggies and less dairy and meat because it’s recognized being overweight is a CV risk factor?

Very simple. They have to force the wage slaves back to be able to keep servicing their debt load. Telling the wage slaves that a multi faceted bioweapon is loose within the US, is kind of a downer man.

Do you work for Chapel Hill?

There is something very very weird about how you respond to the CHapel Hill Study. You go out of your way to pretend it didn’t involve a Sars-like study. Even to the point on another thread claiming it was a MERS study and not SARS

How many times does SARS have to be mentioned in the scientific articles before you will admit it???

I know it’s a downer, but, OH BOY, I do not like being lied to at all, even if the liar thinks the lie is good for me.

They must think we aren’t capable of researching this for even 5 minutes. Maybe they aren’t capable of researching it for 5 minutes.

Per KSTP-TV in Minneapolis-St Paul, Nobles County is southwestern Minnesota is seeing a spike in COVID-19 cases.

https://www.kstp.com/coronavirus/cases-spike-in-nobles-county-meat-packing-plant-preparing-for-spread/5703097/?cat=1

Many of them have been tied to the JBS pork plant there. Geographically speaking, Nobles County is about one hour drive east of Sioux Falls SD where the Smithfield plant was shut down earlier in the week.

Others have posted on here about possible supply chain problems with our nation’s food supply. I’m not commenting one way or the other. I just posted the story for everyone’s education and reference.

That explains the over the top attacks on you. They want to get you irritated and involved with a personal attack exchange. Thus establishing grounds for banning. That is why you dont feed the trolls.

There was an accident. Note the usually jammed westbound lanes are moving at the speed limit. To see real time traffic, including live cameras:

https://www.sigalert.com/map.asp?lat=34.04553&lon=-118.28606&z=2

There is more traffic than 3 weeks ago and a little more each day, but it’s still a small fraction of “normal”. Some people are going back to work. For many, it’s an easy choice between financial ruin and a small risk of serious illness.
