It’s never good for a sitting president heading into reelection to be compared to Jimmy Carter. In 1980, with the country in an economic and diplomatic crisis, the beleaguered former president took on Ronald Reagan, then considered a weak challenger, and won only six states.
Now as 2020 nears, President Trump is finding himself constantly behind Democrats in reelection polls and the latest has compared the Republican to Carter. “Perhaps the closest analogy to Trump in terms of approval ratings is Jimmy Carter, whose average approval rating for his term was 45 percent,” said a survey from the Wason Center for Public Policy at Virginia’s Christopher Newport University.
“Carter, of course, lost his reelection bid. Trump’s average approval rating for his first 27 months in office has ranged between the high 30s and the mid-40s. President Trump will be the least popular president to run for reelection in the history of polling,” said the poll analysis that put Trump at 37% and a generic Democrat at 48%.

Bedard, as I recall, was anti-Trump a long time ago (if he is the one who hosted a so-called conservative news review talk show on TV). More slimy than Bret Baier and Chris Wallace but with less of a following.
The Examiner was a good conservative paper but it has swung to the Left more than it could legitimately do and still keep its credibility.
Never heard of the Watson Center or Christopher Robin (whatever its name is) University. Why should I believe its polls?

filling stadiums like no President in history?
Say, do any of you know any actual conservatives, that
actually respond to polls?
The only poll I’ve seen that wasn’t designed to influence
my opinion, was a questionnaire sent by Trump, asking what
was important, and providing room for essay length answers.
We hope they come out this summer.. and I hope there are indictments in it right off the bat.. and if there are already, why haven’t they been taken in...
They have to do this before November.. they’ve been at it for years now.. and don’t think the dems are going to sit and watch... they will have something to mess up the waters. .. and they know it will probably hit the fan before November and I’d bet they have been at it already.. Seeing obama on TV this evening... don’t count him out of this election... he had Trump on his camera for the last election and he has a data base from his 8 years.. don’t think he will sit and watch.
Does anyone in the justice dept have the wherewithal to go after obama and hillary.. they are the ones to get... and thought they were immune to any justice.. hill and bill have gotten by with all their dirt for all their lives.. of course they think it will go on like that...

Carter was incompetent.
Trump is supremely competent.
Then add the missing 10 % or so you took away from it.

I wonder if they actually call people or just sit down and make up the answers. Since if they were calling people the question are created to get the results you want anyway, why bother?
