When do you think President Trump will reopen the economy and enable us to go back to work? Early May? Late May? June?

There is.

We should open sometime this week as initially discussed especially where cases are very low. There are still countries that have none or next to no cases.

I understand what you are suggesting, HCQ/Zpak/Zinc...but we need clear evidence that it works (that shuts up the press) I think that evidence might be a week or so away.

Having yet one more treatment method would cinch the deal and that too, could be about a week away. Having two treatment choices would seal it and we can all go back to work knowing that if we get a nasty case of the Wuhan, it can be treated quickly, even if it spreads. No need to wait for a vaccine that will never come.

I fit all the requirements to stay locked up...but I am losing thousands of dollars by not being able to sell at fairs, which is what we have been doing these past 25 years. We will not survive being closed down for a year. It takes great overhead with fair rents that are paid a year in advance and we pay maybe $25K-$30K in fair rents and that is pretty cheap...

What a way to run a circus....That and I had to shell out $700 for a new water heater....money that I didn’t want to spend...guess those couple of packages of toliet paper will have to wait...I had really hoped to get them for my wife’s birthday...She would have been surprised!

The end of April is not unreasonable, but beyond that is.

The thing that’s become most alarming is the almost bloodlust many democrat politicians have with heir new found power to control the masses.

Never has the adage of *Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely* been proves so true as it has with some of these petty tyrants who are pretending to be governors of their states or mayors of their cities.

In other words — NEVER.

As soon as I saw those reports back in mid-March indicating that something like 75% of Americans favored a nationwide lockdown, I knew we were doomed. That was further reinforced by the idiocy I was reading from alleged “conservatives” right here on FR.

You’re seeing what happens when a society is governed by the whims of suburban women. It invariably ends up run in way that is transparently ignorant, ill-informed, impractical, and in ruins.

If he listens to his advisors, never. This country will cease to exist as we know it. Ya think toilet paper is an issue? Look at Venezuela... when they finished off the dog food, they were eating their pets.

not before the first week in June; in reality, it should be this Monday, but he won’t pull the trigger...

‘When he said today he wouldn’t open it up till its safe was troubling...’

he won’t open anything up on any large scale until the second week in June, for fear of infecting the largely non immunized populace; but without widespread antibody testing, how are we going to know about immunity numbers...?

‘That said, the reason it wasn’t worse is because of the mitigation efforts.’

so what happens when the mitigation eases and the non infected people get exposed...? there’s no info out there that suggests this will abate in warm weather, though my gut tells me it should; but the real question is, what extent of ‘opening’ are we going to see, because I don’t see this terror stricken populace going back out into crowds anytime soon...

yes, true enough...

IMO- Democrat governors will do their level best to keep their states closed, then blame Trump for their economic woes while they give away free stuff to illegals.

End home confinement and restrictions on curbside pickups on non-essential businesses on April 30.

Open non-essential businesses to foot traffic on the Thursday before Memorial day weekend, but leave bars, gyms, restaurants , movie theaters and sports facilities closed. Restaurants can have pickup curbside or at the counter, as usual.

Welcome the beginning of summer by opening everything completely on June 21.

That’s how I’d do it, anyhow.
