Kirstie Alley gets jeered on social media after praising Trump’s handling of coronavirus crisis

Former “Cheers” star Kirstie Alley paid a price for praising the president’s efforts during the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

“Dear Mr. President,” she tweeted Monday night. “I wanted to thank you for ur recent decorum, sincerity, & care towards us. You’re taking charge & leading in a manner needed & wanted for this country. I highly commend you for ur boundless energy & willingness to solve problems. Thank you.”

Many social media users attacked the 69-year-old actress, while others praised her. Some people wanted to know what she was referencing as examples of President Trump’s leadership.
