Statement from Attorney General William P. Barr on House Legislation to Reauthorize the USA Freedom Act
justice.gov ^ | March 11, 2020 | AG William Barr

Posted on 03/12/2020 8:50:58 AM PDT by ransomnote

Attorney General William P. Barr issued the following statement:

"I have reviewed the House FISA bill and support its passage.  The bill contains an array of new requirements and compliance provisions that will protect against abuse and misuse in the future while ensuring that this critical tool is available when appropriate to protect the safety of the American people.

I am pleased that the bill contains a number of provisions Director Wray and I put forward to address past failures, including compliance failures that the Inspector General has identified for us in his recent audit work.  The IG’s analysis and recommendations have helped shape our proposals.  The Director and I will promulgate additional, implementing rules that advance these reforms.

It is of the utmost important that the Department’s attorneys and investigators always work in a manner consistent with the highest professional standards, and this overall package will help ensure the integrity of the FISA process and protect against future abuses going forward.  This legislation deserves broad bi-partisan support."

I know I've read lefty talking heads screaming that Barr is authorizing the FISA without making changes, all the same etc. and they've been saying it for some time. But it's obvious that he has made changes to keep what Obama did to Trump from happening again. I'm sure the MSM will paint over it so people believe he rubberstamped it, because...they're the MSM. If the MSM didn't lie, they wouldn't have anything to say.

Re Barr:

p>I know some panic when they see Barr's name in a press release. They think if he's at a press event, he doesn't do anything else and so they post their demands Barr be removed here. But that's like watching a fire truck drive by as it returns to the station and shrieking, "That's it! I've had it! We need to replace all our firefighters and hire some that will actually fight fires. All these ones do is drive around in a fire truck!"

I also see a lot of posts that say Barr is "letting the swamp have it's way" etc. if he's at an event and doesn't bring Comey et. al. in orange jumpsuits to it. I want to encourage you. Barr is one of a legion of people draining the swamp from the bottom up.

Barr doesn't list classified activities on the DOJ website or release it to the news. Watching the DOJ website as I do, I've seen countless cases about medical fraud, tax evasion and two re Panama Papers that confirm he's drying up their resources and getting lower level convictions from those who serve the elites; these lower level cases are put before the judge when elites are tried. For example, revelations in the Panama Papers (international off shore accounts of the rich and famous) lead to convictions of their tax preparers and those convictions are taken to tax trials of the elites. Of course the elites will also face other charges too, but tax trials are a start and could hold them in place while the deep state's financial and thug resources are dried up so the elites can't retaliate (won't have funds and with it, power) when bigger cases are brought.

During the Obama years, Sotero depleted our military to the point that when Trump took office, the country was in no condition to fend off domestic and international aggression meant to thwart prosecution of our DS. But Trump fought hard and long to get money for the wall and to rebuild the military (I think he spent 1.5 Trillion rebuilding our military) while the tentacles of the DS were being cut, and the other half of the country is being educated (often against their will) about what the Dems/Deep State/ Media really have in mind for us.

It's been hard waiting to see prosecutions turn the spotlight on the highest profile villians in D.C., but the groundwork is there and is beginning to surface. (Also, those in high places providing depositions and engaged in prosecution won't tell us about it, and the optics require that we not be told.) For details re some of the "groundwork", watch Rudy Guiliaini's video series called "Common Sense" on Youtube for all the evidence re the Ukraine.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-9J07yyuXQTx_uZQchtwsg

Without educating the public, and in the face of MSM propaganda, civil unrest would be cultivated by the DS and efforts would be made to provoke bloodshed. It's likely Pelosi et. al. would demand UN intervention to "save us" from President Trump, by falsely reporting that he is behind the civil unrest in a coup attemp (i.e., claim he wants to become dictator).

President Trump's strategy matches the winning strategy employed in a famous chess game 100 years ago (Capablanca vs Marshall), The President does love his chess games;  he has used this strategy to keep the economy stable enough to impress many with economic wins across the board (win hearts, minds, re-election). That's what the DS is hammering on now, fanning the flames of fear re coronavirus to destabilize the econimy; it's about all the DS has left.

Don't worry if you see Barr at a press event or having lunch! The deep state is still being dismantled even while Barr has coffee, WE'RE STILL WINNING!

The bottom line is the leftist cabal who control the entire federal government did their damnedest to use every avenue of the FISA court and everything during the 16 1718 time. To try to paint our wonderful president as a Russian plant or stooge
they failed miserably
They had a special counsel , 19 angry Democrats , no knock raids with full military in the middle of the night , klieg lights putting people off try to get them to lie about the president and they got nothing

And then surprise surprise! They tried the Ukrainian phone call thing and actually got as far as impeaching the president with 100% of the Democrats and zero of the Republicans

And as it turned out that giant distraction happen during a critical period where the president had to make incredibly important decisions to ban travel from China so that this stupid coronavirus thing wouldn’t be affecting the United States of America like it is Italy and other parts of the world

Now as we see the NBA in the NCAA tournament saying that we’re canceling all visits in the mass panic is taking hold and the WHO declares this a pandemic- we see that all the decisions that he made despite being impeached and being distracted by that history will show that this president acted incredibly and was absolutely on top of his game

And once again I’m going to tell All you freepers out there because I love you and care about you that colloidal silver kills all viruses and bacteria just buy or make this and you will not have to worry about this coronavirus

Or strep throat or any other of these pathogens they will try to kill you

I am pleased that the bill contains a number of provisions Director Wray and I put forward...

Say no more. VETO! Until I see that someone abused by FISA like Carter Page and George Papadopolous have written the safeguards they can pound sand on extending their illegal court of deep state conspirators that they seem so comfortable with. Hell, neither Wray nor Barr have punished the people that violated the law to doctor FISA warrant requests in the first place, I'm supposed to believe they take it seriously now?

I would love to believe that Barr is actually ‘draining the swamp from the bottom up’. But I fear that that’s just a clever way of saying, ‘Hey, don’t worry if you’re not seeing results... We’re just starting with the people you’ve never heard of’. Or, ‘The check is in the mail’, if you prefer.

Attorney General Barr,

I would like to see indictments and convictions of those people who actually signed the intentionally falsified Carter Page FISA affidavits including former FBI Director James Comey, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, not just “some low level agents,” before I would support any form of a FISA renewal.

Clearly, if there are no consequences for signing a falsified document, there is no purpose to signing the document.

while ensuring that this critical tool is available when appropriate to protect the safety of the American people

HAHAAHAHAHA. What a joke.

The Controllers couch everything in terms of "safety" and "national security", as if there is nothing more important.

FO Barr.

They can show me a long list of indictments and arrests, and then I might support a completely new draft of this secret “Freedom Act”. These names are such bs. Freedom, Patriot etc. Snakes in a pretty dress.

Interesting that he doesn’t mention anything about severe punishment for any government official found to mislead or perpetrate fraud on the FISA court. It seems that for every bucket of swamp water that’s drained, two more get poured in.
