Well 2 things.
First, The response I would have given can’t be typed here. Maybe last year but I’m reforming my posts :)
Second, I WANT the new Vette!!!
...i hope my Challenger didn’t hear that...
Yes, we have to close down EVERY company and only spend money on addicts and crazy people.
My first response: “Why? You wanna buy it?”
Second response red phone scrambled: muckum chuckum phuckum choo!
Very good commentary!
Pity the question wasn’t turned back on the questioner.
Might have gotten the guy to take his brain out of neutral.
On a side note i don’t believe that the new Vette is available to the general public yet.
Is it?
It also fed a bunch of people in Detroit, like my buddy who worked on the design team for the last five years.
That was a great and truthful response. I’m afraid what I would have come up with off the cuff would have been more along the lines of the futility of what he was implying. That even if I took that money and fed a few thousand for a day, or a few hundred for a couple of weeks.... The next day or the next week they’d be hungry again. Him. In a similar situation I guess I could use my comeback as a lead in to his. That I instead helped thousands keep the job that was putting food on their tables.
Geesh ... I suppose someone's got to do it.
Just a nit.
“Capitalism” is a pejorative term for the Free Market.
Whenever possible, use the term “Free Market”, rather than participating the Leftist “capitalism” disparagement of it.
And “socialism” is better known as “central planning” or “collectivism”, always devolving into a totalitarian authoritarian bureaucracy.
Ask your correspondents if they would prefer living in a collective or a cooperative.
I still think it was a mistake to get rid of the signature round tail lights. They were an identifying feature of the Corvette.
“When you buy something, you put money in peoples pockets and give them dignity for their skills. When you give someone something for nothing, you rob them of their dignity and self-worth.
And maybe destroy their ability to freedom.
The 12th-century philosopher Maimonides said it best, “Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime.”
The man who was taught, is not dependent.

Something liberals and socialists hate,it’s why they always go after the rich.
