I am not a doctor or an epidemiologist. I am a regular guy who sees the world and tries to understand it from a very common sense point of view. Tragedy has struck China, the virus has spread around the world. The Coronavirus is a problem and it must be dealt with. I am not a denier: what I will say is stay calm and dont panic.

I don’t want to increase my chances of exposure - wish I could just lay low until this thing mostly blows over.
Thank you.
True, but we need to fast track build out for critical items (medications and so forth). If I were Pres. Trump, I’d start that rolling asap.
All we need is a uniform across the board tariff of 20% on all goods imported into the USA. That is all the government intervention needed. Private industry will do the rest and be forced to repatriate industry back to the USA. It isn’t hard to figure out but nobody will listen.
Thank you for the WHO link! Unfortunately, the WHO site does not separate the aggregated numbers of China from the rest of the world. Since the Chinese numbers are suspect, that was very important for following the epidemic using the John Hopkins site. Also, the WHO site does not seem to report recoveries. They were going up quite nicely and, at least until last week, recoveries were outpacing new cases.
Panic = Prepare
Exactly. Remember Y2K and the NASDAQ “no visibility”? Company after company used that same excuse. The NAS has run so bloddy far, especially the semis. (SMH)
I think there could be hella giveback. But I must ALWAYS self-caution against becoming too bearish. I was RIGHT however saying this corona thing is/was/will be massively more serious than what has been reported. I mean look, we all say the media is blitheringly wrong about everything else, do we not?
How about the Chinese media?
Losing one-third of that 16% in international trade means corporate top-line reduction of 5% and probably worse earnings reductions. That means a big drop in equities markets and reduction of spending on construction, capital equipment, vacations, etc. That’s nothing to sneeze at.
No need.
I've been working off of it all f***ing day.
because oklahoma sucks
A mil-grade weapon that kills and disables is a better weapon that one that just kills - each effected person draws resources away from the country’s efforts and economy - mustard and choline gas in WWI, ammo deigned to maim like the .222 and hollow points as well as air burst arty etc are such weapons.
There are also many anomalies in the construction of this virus that the chances of a natural occurrence are well over one million to one.
Despite China’ admission that it is a bio-weapon a day or so ago, you are free to believe whatever makes you comfortable.
It kills health people from ages 10-100 just so you know, its not an agist virus.
if you absolutely need documentation, don’t whine to me about it - I suggest you read from start to finish all the corona virus threads where you will find ample.
Bingo...
I would.
If your scenario plays out a cytokine storm might be a blessing.
i wore a mask on a direct hour flight to Tenn .
I avoided major airports like AtL and Orlando .
Like 350,000 shipping containers being stuck in Chinese ports?
Bird Flu, Swine Flu, Ebola, we’ve been here before. Ebola, what a dud that turned out to be.
I saw a tweet today from a guy flying over the port of Newark, NJ. There were NO containers there!
see if this works.
