All we need is a uniform across the board tariff of 20% on all goods imported into the USA. That is all the government intervention needed. Private industry will do the rest and be forced to repatriate industry back to the USA. It isn’t hard to figure out but nobody will listen.

Long term I totally agree. But for the short term we need to move very fast on restarting pharmaceutical manufacturing or we are in for a really rough time. Would help to get some funds to start that immediately. Medication shortages could possibly cause far far more problems than the virus itself.

I suspect China Inc. will be out of business for a while. Not only do they face the outbreak, they are also going to have serious political instability.
