It's the final film in the Skywalker saga that concludes the nine-film epic space opera.
And critics were full of praise for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker as they revealed their initial reactions to seeing the film at the Los Angeles premiere on Monday night.
While Disney has embargoed full reviews until Wednesday, those inside the three cinemas screening the film were so delighted they took to Twitter to give their spoiler-free thoughts on the film on Tuesday.

We’ll find out tomorrow (Wednesday, December 18, 2019) when the reviews go up on YouTube.
StarWars episode XXII...Jar Jar’s Piles.
Meso hurty.
The last Star Wars movie I saw was the one which introduced “Rey”, or “Ray”, the girl on the journey to find Luke. That movie seemed to have a very similar plot to the very first Star Wars movie.
While events were years in the future, what with Princess Leia being General Leia, the bad guys being the “First Order” instead of the “Empire”, it seemed to be like the same basic story.
Now that the Skywalker storyline comes to an end, are they planning to make more star wars movies, anyone know?
And the ONLY cure is MORE Jar Jar!!
Maybe by satisfying conclusion they mean Jar Jar is run through a wood chipper.

“Star Wars” meets “Fargo”
Star Wars - The Search For More Money
My favorite was “The Empire Strikes Back”. Everything from the last 30 years has been horrible and I don’t expect this new film to be very good either.
if only it will be the CONCLUSION of this hideous series.....................
Can we drive a wooden stake into this hideous series and call it “Game Over”?
Spoiler alert: All the males die, and females of all races and species are imbued with unlimited Force potential.
I mention this all the time. And instead of the “That’s no moon! It’s a space station!” death star, they had a death planet.
It was deja vu all over again!
That was half way through Return of the Jedi.....so 2 1/2?
For me, there is only the (original*) Original Trilogy. I saw the prequels twice though and do not care if I see them again. I saw The Force Awakens and thought it was basically a remake of the original Star Wars film. I still have not watched The Last Jedi and will probably skip this new one. I guess I'm turned off from the whole "the Force is female" thing.
* I watch Harmy's despecialized versions in which Lucas' digital "improvements" have been eliminated.
Regardless if it's true, this will spread like a wildfire and this review will dominate the discussion.
Job well done.
I saw “The Force Awakens” on pay per view. I liked it. Especially the end where the girl walks up that hill and the guy in the hooded cape turns out to be Luke Skywalker. Yeah, you kinda expected it - but it was still cool.
But I still haven’t seen “The Last Jedi”. I’m not gonna see “The Rise of Skywalker” ‘til I’ve seen “The Last Jedi”.
Ditto that

It’s all downhill from there.
I prefer “Hardware Wars”

***the nine-film epic space opera. ***
I saw the first two theater movies, choked on the third, and gagged on the 4th(and it was not Jar-Far-Binks that did it.)
Haven’t watched one since.
Did they add the horrid Ewok made-for-TV movies to this list?
Wuh, Oh! Ar!, Ar!, Ar! Ooh, Ooh, Ooh, Ooh, Ooh, Ooh, Ooh!"
