It's time for the Department of Agriculture to adopt strict rule as France has done on its products such as champagne.
Today's environment of calling any white juice "milk" or plant based products "meat" has gone too far. The line is getting blurred further as cells of cows and fish are being replicated in tanks and being sold as the "real" thing.
We need to protect our farmers.
same thing with real cheese
and
“process american cheese food product”
Either he needed some money, or just thought it would be fun.
Very short stool
Actually I can no longer eat milk products. Unfortunately Im allergic to most nuts and legumes. So .......nothin.
Lol, this makes me mad too. The newest labeling gimmick I noticed is “vegetarian raised” poultry... What an oxymoron, are they trying to appeal meat to vegans with that? Of course poultry raised in a controlled environment is vegetarian by default anyways unless it is free range poultry where it might find the occasional insect.
“Who is dumb enough to believe this crap?” Apparently most of society or they would not label this way...
However I would be willing to wager that I singlehandedly support the cheese and butter industry. And if you are active the latter is a great source of energy and will not clog your arteries or make you fat.
So eat butter and keep on moving.
I dont know how they do it but I’m glad they do, I drink it almost every morning with breakfast. At first it tasted very bland but now I like it. I suspect if I ever get my weight back down and my blood pressure under control and go back to real milk, its gonna taste too rich for me. This from a man who used to put about 15% of my glass of breakfast milk, heavy cream.
It’s not just dairy farmers. We operate a gourmet mushroom farm. US markets are being flooded with Chinese mushrooms. The sad part is, on top of allowing the market to be flooded, the FDA is allowing Chinese mushrooms to be labeled “organic” without the same certification I have to achieve to do the same. Can you imagine anything coming from China being “organic”? Ask at your favorite restaurant and I bet you’ll find out they’re using Chinese mushrooms. The FDA and USDA do virtually nothing to protect American farmers. Try dealing with them. Bureaucracy on steroids.
I dont know but I do know how many dim-0s it takes to screw in a lightbulb. TWO. One to screw in the bulb and one to kiss my ass.
I worked chicken farms in South Jersey as a kid. Chickens will eat their own eggs and each other. I’ve seen it with me own eyes.
I have switched over completely to almond milk - for drinking, for cereal and for cooking. I haven’t bought cow milk in at least two years.

Check wikipedia which says using milk or milky for non milk has been around since 1300.
Thats nuts.
It is odd that well readily drink milk from an animal, but turn our nose up if someone placed a glass of human milk in front of you...
And I forgot to add coconut milk.
At least with veggies, and fungus?, consumers get country of origin info. Anyone willingly eating anything that comes outta the PRC deserves what he gets.
Once they allowed for no-fat ice cream, I figured the labeling is all arbitrary and capricious. It really started when they were llowed to change the lanbeling from “imitation” to “artificially flavored” (e.g. “imitation strawberry” is more accurate than “artificial strawberry”).
And then there’s the milk of human kindness!
And it's like milking a snake for venom. But if it makes you feel better maybe it should say Almond non-dairy alternative milk beverage because saying almond milk is too confusing to you.
