A Tesla on autopilot rear-ended a Connecticut trooper’s vehicle early Saturday as the driver was checking on his dog in the back seat, state police said.
Police said they had responded to a disabled vehicle that was stopped in the middle of Interstate 95. While waiting for a tow, the self-driving Tesla came down the road.
After striking the trooper's vehicle, the driver in the Tesla then rear-ended the disabled vehicle before stopping.

So I have a great idea.. let have an autonomous fully loaded 144,000 pound 18 wheeler run the roads.
If a vehicle operating in “autopilot” mode can’t even avoid a police car, then I’d say we are decades away from any serious consideration of automated vehicles.
I bet that, when the driver was in school, the family dog ate a lot of his/her/its homework.
I would sue Tesla for $100 million. Rinse and repeat.
There have been a number of Tesla autopilot deaths, and yes, they are being sued.

Some people lap up AI and how far it’s come along like dogs.
I got a few CEO cousins that say AI is a TOOL that is used by employees but replacing many and the jobs it creates pretty much evens things out.

One of the big faults with the Tesla autopilot is the inability of it to sense non-moving vehicles.

Reality is, if you are driving a car, DRIVE YOUR DAMN CAR! BE RESPONSIBLE!
I drive professionally for a living, driving a bus for disabled customers in my city. The stupidity displayed by so many apparently ‘licensed’ drivers is absolutely breathtaking! I am not at all surprised by the accident in this article.

The most an 18 wheeler is allowed to weigh is 80.000 lbs, unless it has a state issued permit to exceed that weight.
144.000 lbs would require 4 additional axles. Just FYI...
It is in their best interest(insurance companies) to state that their coverage is void if auto pilot is engaged.
AI = Alcohol Influenced. Or perhaps Accident Inclined.
In Michigan the max weight limit appears to be 164,000 lbs, with eight axles on the trailer.

You are trying to make a case that Muslims and “third-world idiots” drive Teslas poorly (or something)? Faster traffic on the right? Wut?
