Talk about complete concept rejection.
Skydance, Fox and Paramount's Terminator: Dark Fate reboot hoping to revive the franchise after three failed attempts bombed in its domestic box office debut with $29 million from 4,086 theaters, well behind expectations.
Not even the return of James Cameron in the producer's chair and original series stars Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger could spark interest among many fans and the general moviegoing public.
Nor is the movie likely to be rescued by the foreign box office, where it finished Sunday with a foreign tally of $94.6 million, including a lackluster China debut of $28 million, and global total of $123.6 million.
A direct sequel to Cameron's Terminator: Judgment Day (1991), the R-rated Dark Fate is directed by Deadpool helmer Tim Miller and cost a hefty $185 million to produce before marketing. Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna and Diego Boneta also star.

Really? Two 70 somethings running around, bombs? Not shocking. Boomers are the most ridiculous generation. They all still think they are 20. Hell even weed is being normalized again by these wackos.
They need to make another Godzilla movie. Ím sure it will do better.
Will Hollywood Reporter tell the truth about how feminist propaganda destroyed this movie?
They'll blame angry white incels for not seeing it.
This is what I really hate about traveling backwards in time. You could easily go back 4 generations and kill off great grandparents. They didn't have the right weapons.
Excellent post and spot on. I dont watch many movies but, when I do, I turn to Turner Classic Movies or some of the classic movie channels on Roku. I even love silent films, with Metropolis being my favorite.
I also enjoy silent movie comedians, such as Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. They didnt look the part of the stereotypical masculine hero, but they often saved their damsels in distress.
As for Classic talkies, my favorite actor is Cary Grant. He was so versatile. He could be strong and sexy but, at the same time, could also be hilarious.
The only recent movie Ive seen is Bohemian Rhapsody because Im a huge fan of Queen. I downloaded it from the Apple Store and watched it at home.
Im not ashamed to say that Im a fan of the Alpha Males in older movies. The women were strong in their own way, but still feminine.
To get out of the house for trick or treat night we saw this movie. It was horrible. Arnold had a few good lines but overall it stunk. There were maybe 10 other people in there with us.
Skynet is stuck in a loop.
In Transistornator 2025, the Terminator walking with a cane goes back to 1947 to kill Shockley, Bardeen and Brattain, prevent the transistor from being invented and prevent Skynet.
It Tubinator 2030, a 60-foot wheelchair bound Terminator travels through time to kill the inventor of the vacuum tube ...
Sarah Conner comes out of the closet in this movie or are the terminators homo?
The first two movies were great. Everything else has been weak or just crap. Exception being the one with Christian Bail.
Maybe Arnold ticked off all his fans.
I wont see this one until its free from the library. Now I did just see Zombieland Double Tap. I laughed my ass off. Best sequel ever!
The movie can revive using Gay Terminators who hunt down white masculine males, to rid society of this scourge.
Skynet is replaced by Pornnet.
Chicom Chinese become the new master race.
Got a winning script here.
My Brown Bess would disagree :)
Good bye Terminator.
Hello Begininator.
Creates a master race of Gay Betas who can reproduce.
I saw it Fri 1:15pm up in the white mountains of NH while on a small vacation.
It was ok...some good action scene’s with a script being a rehash of both parts 1 and 2.
There were maybe 6 other people in the theater for that opening showing.
Of course i was in sort of the boonies..
That’s a shame. It is a good movie.
That is so funny!
I saw it. Thought it was pretty good for what can be done with a Terminator movie. I mean how many ideas that coincide can they have left?
The Terminator movies are all just remakes of themselves.
