After an extended wear-out period, the Army's pixelated Universal Camouflage Pattern uniform, or UCP, is officially a thing of the past. As of Oct. 1, all soldiers are required to possess and wear the green-and-brown Operational Camouflage Pattern uniform, or OCP.

The US Navy should go back to dungarees and blue work shirts.
Uniform environment is important.
The desert uniform used during Gulf War I was much better for that environment than what has been used since. It was also a bit cooler in the sun.
Our guys really did stand out in daytime ops for the duration of GWII.
Unfair to criticize those uniforms since they obviously were created for urban warfare...

Perfect uniform for watching the toob and drinking beer when the wifey is on the prowl with the honey-do list. :)

I heard that bit about working for a living by reading about it. Funny, I never actually heard any NCOs say it. I’m sure they thought it though.

My ship was docked in the UAE during desert storm. I would have liked to have traded my khakis for janitor gray.

Woodland was okay someplace cold, but they were really overly hot in Okinawa or the Philippines.
I did a quick cursory search on the Internet. Did not see any readily available information though I’m sure it’s out there.
The woodland summer uniforms did okay during desert storm for a dry arid environment.
