My take on it (JMO) is that I seriously doubt that impeaching and convicting a President would allow him a 3d term. I agree with you that if it did, BJC certainly would have tried it!
I also doubt that Trump is planning to run for a 3d term! I think he just says stuff like that to get the libs all spun up.
