Horrendous. That powerful storm, at a standstill, over those islands, it’s a miracle anyone survived. I thought they had evacuated anyone that wanted to go. I didnt k how that many people were in harm’s way.

Just watched a program from Canadian news.
They “interviewed” AP photographer. Who took pictures as their house 5-3 miles from show was flooded. Wife, three kids and three dogs.
He went back to rescue 30-40 neighbors all living in beautiful homes They got them out with a huge piece of machinary that had a bucket on front 10 or so people at a time.

Jet skies — small boats went door to door. Water came over roof. (21 feet)

One man in shock told how his dear sweet wife drowned when the kitchen counter she was standing on just disintegrated. He was waiting till someone came to get his wife’s body and the neighbor lady’s next door. (She was elderly). Water went over their house. They were Not in an evaluation area. Storm surge was enourmous and just kept coming
