I have two questions about Popeyes' Chicken Sandwich for those who have eaten one.
1) Do you think it is better than a Chic Fil-A Chicken Sandwich?
2) Is it spicy, even the least bit spicy?
Thank you.
Had one on Thursday. It was very good. They ran out just after we ordered. It seems to be very popular.
my kiddo says it was much better. But idk spicy, sorry.
I have heard good things but I make it a point to go to Chick Fillet.
I like tacos.
It’s not spicy but it kicks ass.
It’s Sunday, so you don’t have a choice. But, obviously, to ‘support the cause’, one would go to Chick-A-Fill.
Is it chicken? Or pero de barrio?
Asking for a friend.
If it’s not spicy hot, then it ain’t food.
It depends on where in the country you buy yours.
I have had both in multiple states.
Popeyes: The best was in Louisiana (but this was many years ago and may have changed). It was spicier then the spicy chicken sandwich at Chick Filet. More breading to meat ratio.
Chick Filet: More peppery then spicy in my opinion. I think the amount of meat is better no matter where you get it. I think the breading is a bit better down south then in the Midwest. I prefer their bun to Popeye’s bun which to me is drier.
It’s getting good online reviews. I’ve never eaten at it or at chick-fil-a. Popeye’s less than a mile away, the closest chick-fil-a is about 12 miles away. It seems likely I’ll try Popeye’s first, but I have no immediate plans to try either.
I’ve yet to find a fast food chicken sandwich I like, certainly not Micky’s, BK or Arby’s. I would like to try Culver’s. I would also like to try Culver’s fish sandwich. I’ve liked everything I’ve gotten there so far (just burgers, fries and milk shakes).
While on the subject of taste.
Just had a Impossible Whopper, yes the plant version.
Near impossible to tell from the meat version. If you gave me one and told me plant or meat I would not be able to tell you for sure.
My wife could not tell the difference.
Everything is good at Culver’s. And it is always served hot.
Add, that the burgers are cooked in the AM and served from a warming tray through out the day.
I think chick Fil a is better than Popeyes but havent had Popeyes in a long time.
I tried the spicy chicken at Panda Express and its delicious but I felt the effects of heavy msg for hours so its a no go for me.
Its a different presentation. You can get it with Cajun sauce or mayo. The bread is brioche which is nothing like a bun
I live the classic simplicity of the Chick Fil A sandwich. Popeyes is good. Just not the same thing. The only time I have Popeyes is on a sunday....obvious reason
