Good for them. Need more trade skills taught in school, along with basic home and personal finance. I remember, back in the day, we had auto, drafting, etc as electives. A lot more useful than Latin, etc.

That’s hilarious.
There are lots of things women can do that don’t necessarily involve heavy lifting - they could make good electricians; A friend has a relative who’s a welder, etc.

Even homemaking isn’t learning cooking and sewing these days. It’s team building, sigh. Young adults can’t sew a button on and think cooking is going through the drive thru or tossing something in the microwave. It’s no wonder you can order “Adulting” stickers online stating “I got to work on time”, “I paid the bills” and “I ate a salad”. Sad.

Excellent point. They need to understand fully what the job is, befor jumping into it and then expecting others to do the work for them.

Some folks are not too sure how to hang a painting on a wall.
A hammer is not always the answer. It’s good to at least try, and learn about basic tools, basic kinds of screwdrivers.
