NASA has a message for space lovers this month: Look up. The largest planet in the solar system, Jupiter, will be clearly visible June 10 and to see its biggest moons you'll only need to grab a pair of binoculars.
NASA said the gas giant is at its "biggest and brightest this month" and will be visible all night. The planet will reach opposition, the annual occurrence when the Jupiter, Earth and the Sun are arranged in a straight line, with Earth in the center. So, mark your calendars for Monday, as it will be the best time of the year to see it.

Perfect timing for an alien attack!!!!!!!!!!
Funny! I’ve have viewed Jupiter’s moons with binoculars. I think four are visible..
It would be a riot if Trump takes credit for this...in a Twitter post.
Be great if they told us where to look. West coast/east coast etc.
While everybody is looking away from the sun and staring at Jupiter, expect the aliens to come from out of the sun. It’s an old trick...just watch any WW II movie about fighter pilots. The bogies always come from the sun.
ROFL!!!
That was hysterical :)
I’m sure there’s a kook or two out there in the world who will really believe that :)

Cool! I put it on my calendar with reminders 1 day in advance and 2 hours in advance of 9 PM Monday night. Fingers crossed for clear skies.
You look at Jupiter to see Jupiter’s moons. Where else would you look?
Sheesh.
As long as Uranus keeps its distance.
Allright,allright......slinking away
“I like big moons and I cannot lie...”
Toward the south if you’re in the U.S. Southeast after sunset, southwest before sunrise.
First I have to identify Jupiter! Sorry but all shiny objects in sky look the same to me. Only object I can recognize for sure is our own Moon! Thank goodness there is only one moon this planet has, otherwise I would be wondering which moon is that!
Remarkably Galileo discovered the four large moons of Jupiter without binoculars!
Brightest star in the sky, basically.
He discovered them with a telescope.
