Not phishing for Doxing so if you are not comfortable don't reply or fudge the numbers by a few.

There is such a wealth of history held by the posters on FR. I was thinking how my own father was alive when Lindberg crossed the Atlantic and when the Hindenburg burned and My grandfather was teen when the Wright brothers flew at Kitty Hawk.

My grandfather would be 129 years +- today. How about yours?

My male ancestors on my Dad’s side all were at least 20 years older than their brides. My Grandfather married at 56 to my 28 year old Grandmother.
He would be 166.
That makes me feel very old.
I don’t know when my mother’s Dad was born.

I knew my great-grandfather, grandfather, and grandmother on my dad’s side and grandfather, grandmother, and great-grandmother on my mom’s side. I have a picture of my great-grandmother on my mom’s side on her Harley motorcycle when she was in her 80’s. LOL

I also knew my great-grandfather’s sister and all of my grandfather’s and grandmother’s siblings. Good genes on both sides I guess.

108

He died in his early 70’s of lung cancer.

It came on suddenly, a quarter-century AFTER he had quit smoking.

I wish schools would take the kids on field trips to visit nursing homes and let them talk to the people that live there. Most kids now never knew their grand-parents. If kids could talk to the people in their 80’s, 90’s and 100’s they would learn real history like I did. Educators today don’t want anybody telling them about real history though.

If your grandfather was Tiger Woods, I’d say you should be pretty well set for life.
