A FORMER NASA scientist has claimed time travel is possible because the “speed of light is changing”.

Louise Riofrio is involved in a project that will put an atomic clock into the International Space Station to “verify” her theory.
She reached the conclusion that the speed of light is changing while working at NASA.
The scientist analysed lasers that bounced off reflectors left by astronauts on the moon, which appeared to show the moon was moving too fast.
But – when she compared it to various experiments on Earth using fossils, observations of ancient eclipses and computer simulations – she found it was actually moving more slowly.
It led her to believe that “the speed of laser light slowing had caused the moon to appear to be moving faster”.
This, she claimed, could be of huge significance when it comes to time travel.
“One thing this says is that we can certainly move forward in time and that we can also change the rate we move forward in time,” Louise told Blake Cousins of YouTube channel thirdphaseofmoon.
“As far as moving backwards in time, if that’s ever possible no equations like this will ever find out that.
“The idea that time travellers could visit us today is beyond our understanding so we really can’t say if there are time travellers among us.”
The scientist also said her theory could allow warp speed – similar to that seen in cult series Star Trek – to occur in space.
“Warping space to reach other solar systems faster than light is definitely something we might do some day,” she added.
It is not the first time there have been claims of time travel existing.
Wacky conspiracy channel Apex TV has posted several videos in the past of so-called time-travellers revealing their “proof”.
One particularly outlandish clip showed a man revealing a photo he supposedly took of a dinosaur – 66 million years ago.
Same computer, same programmer.....................
Such stories appear from time to time. And they (so far) always follow this pattern:
1. A scientist uses data to claim that the speed of light is not constant.
2. Other scientists examine the data, and find a flaw. Einstein was right. The speed of light really is constant.
Now, having said that, it’s good that scientists are still debating and challenging Einstein’s work. Because science is never settled.
(Hey, Climate Change believers, did you catch that last sentence?)
Of course, it also follows that if the speed of times is changing, that also means the speed of light is changing.
There’s another reason ‘Time Travel’ is impossible.
It has to do with the amount of mass in the Universe................
It has already been proven that time moves more slowly near large gravity wells or when moving extremely fast.

I have proven to my own personal satisfaction that individuals also “bank” time.
Time spent at events such as parties and joyful social events goes faster and saves up in a “bank” where it is held with interest. It is then paid out during events such as guard duty or waiting for a tow truck on rainy nights.
That was the first time I heard it. Loved his science series.

Everything in the Universe is moving. Nothing is at rest. Everything is in motion, and everything is changing. Humans’ perception of this motion is commonly called “time.”
Time is a subjective perception of the movement of objects. Time is the measurement of this motion. There is no objective reality called time existing outside of human perception. Consequently, there is no way to “travel” in time.
Red Badger points out something very important when discussing “time travel”: if it were possible to travel in time, (it isn’t), you would likely arrive in a place between the planets, with no air to breathe because the planets, the Sun, the solar system and the galaxy are all in motion. In addition, you and a few million hydrogen atoms would attempt to occupy the same place, and you would be the source of a nuclear blast seen throughout the Universe.
Humans are part of the cause-effect chain, and cannot step out of it in any way, at any time, in any manner. That’s a first principle, which doesn’t have to be proved, and which therefore would be rejected by all scientists.

Well now I have proof for my theory that Libs are stuck in the 1960's. They wanted to travel to 2019, but since the speed of light slowed, well they missed by just a little bit...……..

Maybe we are both being provincial, but I had that same thought. In the old days scientists used to investigate things like the strength of a carbon bond, or the conductivity of of an alloy.
Now many of them just sit around wondering if our universe could be a bubble within some other universe.
I think Bob Dylan wrote a song about that.................
And to fellow Christians who are young earthers and hang your hat on the speed of light changing a lot. Really? Think about what it means to use your belief in the speed of light being inconsistent to "explain" away the fact that stars and galaxies are billions of light years away. In order to go from a billions of years old universe to one that's thousands of years old, the speed of light would have had to at times been millions of times faster. Think about it. Instead of light traveling 186,000 miles per second you're demanding it had traveled something like 200,000,000,000 miles per second. :)
That would be an “alternate explanation” for a few things other than quasars. Interesting thought.

These physical constants are also important to the formation of matter. Muck around with them too much and atoms (or anything else!) don’t exist! Which begs the question as to how am I typing on this keyboard!
