It looks to me like, when the cop swatted the balloon away, it clipped the girl in the eye. That happened to me once, something clipped me in the eye, when I was foraging in a dark closet. Hurt terribly, and scratched my cornea in two places. Had to go to the doctor and get drops and an eye patch for a week.
I bet that’s why she screamed out in pain....the balloon hit her open eye.
Nobody’s fault but her own....but, the pain really is horrendous.
Good catch, the fact that her hand immediately goes to her eye makes me suspect you are right. Although the reaction does seem to be a little over the top.
You may be right. And I agree.
Yeah, more likely she is trained in the typical SJW “REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!” reaction designed to make it look and sound like you have been grievously assaulted.
How do you react to a paper cut?
If it did hit her in the eye, that’s indeed very painful. Done it.
But the screaming was over the top and rather obviously theatrical. I could almost hear the wine glasses shattering.
Odds are that’s been SOP throughout her life and no one has ever told her “your fault, suck it up, and don’t do anything else stupid”. Most kids growing up have heard that little admonition at least once.
Yes not fun but seriously not as bad as she carried on. Honestly she is a weakling. I have had that happen when horseback in trees and brush, it does hurt bad but I still had to navigate the horse. I wasn’t about to just crumple off the horse or I would have worse issues than a scratched cornea.
I understand people have different tolerances to injury, but really if she folds up that easy protesting may not be for her. Especially not protesting in a way that annoys people.

She’s a Snowflake and was being dramatic for effect.
Good.
Not for you but for her.
I hope it was agonizing.
And unfortunately I wouldn’t dismiss the possibility of a lawsuit.
I was willing to consider that until I heard the screams. Those weren’t “Ouch that hurts” screaming that was “I’ve been impaled by a pitchfork” screaming.
Look closely at the policemans hand as it sweeps by her face.
He is holding something that looks a whole lot like a small can of mace/pepper spray.
Just a tiny squirt would make most anyone react like she did.
Look closely.
That said I did laugh a bit...
Whapping at a cop has consequences. No cop fan at all, but stuff does piss you off.
I have no sympathy for this pathetic snowflake but I agree with your assessment.
A few years ago, I was having a conversation with a relative and was holding an envelope. I was gesturing nervously while talking because I was about to be late for an appointment and needed to leave. One corner of the envelope caught me in the eye and I ended up with an injury similar to yours.
Like you, I had to see my doctor and had to get eye drops and wear the patch for several days.
I have a high pain tolerance but you are correct about the pain. It REALLY hurts.
Quite possible, the caught-in-the-eye premise. Not even the best social justice wimpiers can act THAT well. That shriek comes from the diaphragm, and that’s not easy to fake.
That said, she’s lucky if her only consequence is a trip to the doctor. She was committing Battery on a Police Officer, battery being defined as ‘unwanted touching’. Doesn’t matter if it is a stick or a feather. If it is touching, and is unwanted, it is battery.
Up the ante when it is on a police officer: Battery on a Police Officer.
I thought her eye was injured, as well. I had a lacerated cornea many years ago, and it is NO FUN! I had problems with that eye for a couple years afterward, as the cut actually created a “flap,” and every so often that “flap” would fold over, which caused my eye to spasm.
