If you have a strong stomach and two months to kill, NASA might pay you $19,000 to stay in bed and spin around a centrifuge for that period. You’d be on bed rest for sixty days while researchers study the effects of weightlessness on the human body. The test will be conducted in Germany so make sure your passport is up-to-date.

If you want to participate you’ll need to be able to speak German, be between the ages of 24 and 55 and be healthy. After your 60-day nap you’ll be required to stick around for another month to be studied as you recover from your two months in bed.

The ride was sold to six flags but then was opened at Marriott’s Great America in 1976. It was then closed in 2000 because of a ride malfunction that led to 2 girls feet getting squished in the ride.

I would be SO sick. It would be like that ride at the amusement park where the floor drops out. Was that the Rotor? We were GREEN after we got off.

So the good thing is if you get blood clots from lying in bed, the centrifuge will spin them down toward your feet instead of causing a pulmonary embolus.

Sheesh...they run the centrifuge BACKWARDS to generate weightlessness. I thought everybody knew that.

If you want to participate you’ll need to be able to speak German

Isn't "Wretch, Barf, Gag" the same in every language?

Send lawyers, guns, and money, the sh*t has hit the fan.

Better have a wall-mounted bidet for cleanup as toilet paper flapping in the breeze is notoriously hard to control.

They probably mean:

Testing the effects of ARTIFICIAL GRAVITY for 2 months.

That’s probably for transit in deep space, like to Mars.

That’s a guess.

I don’t know and I do not want to know.
That said, it makes me laugh.

I went up to Georgetown Un, got into one of their beds, and it spun me in the air for hours until a priest came along. /sarc

Round here it was called the “round up.” I loved that ride at 15. Now, I can’t even go on the merry go round with the grand kids. Heck, sometimes escalators make me woozy. Sumit happen I dunno wat.

I was twelve. Did not do the Parachute ride. Wild mouse. Dont remember the racist ride. Had a cousin. Last time I saw her was at Riverview. She took the parachute ride, I did not. She died when I was 15 she was 17. Colors my recollections.

In 1986? I drove by the vacant area where Riverview was. Hundreds of seagulls. Stopped the car and ran at them and watched them scatter. Didn’t realize until later that It was where Riverview once was.
