Levis CEO Chip Bergh admitted on CNN Business Markets Now that he still hasnt washed his now decade-old pair of jeans. And he doesnt plan to, either. He also slammed the old wives tale about freezing your jeans to preserve the color and shape. If its the pair Im thinking of, he will spot treat them or worst case hand wash if needed. But never in the washing machine, a Levis spokesperson said.

1972? Must be hip huggers. Loved girls with hip huggers in my high school years.
Seems to me they don’t have a problem with the stank of ball sweat since they don’t have balls. Also no skid marks issues since it is all retained, ie. they are full of it.

When I was in grade school, I wore my jeans until, yes, they were stiff as a board. My mother never mentioned it. Maybe she appreciated the lighter laundry load.
Oops too late!
That reminds me ...
Getting rid of underarm bacteria can’t be a new idea. AAMOF, they have found that if you do that, in time your underarms will repopulate from the area named like a planet, and you’ll be worse off than before.
I used to walk 4 miles per day in levis (just going to work, lunch, work, dinner, out) and they held up for several years. Once they started making them overseas the would fall apart after only a few months. No, my thighs don’t rub together nor did they then. I quit buying levis and went to wrangler around the turn of the last century.
Now that I telecommute I may recycle quite a bit. I’m sure my wife appreciates it. I used to do laundry. When I was single there were 2 kinds - whites/hot/occasionalbleach and everythingelse/cold. Once I got married I learned there are like 38 varieties of laundry which I cannot wrap my head around so I capitulated to wife unit.
I’m 71, wore Levi’s when I was in high school. Don’t own a pair now. Seldom wear jeans but when I do, I wear Wranglers. Nobody I know wears Levi’s now.
Most of the time I wear Kakahi’s. Once in a great while I wear Dockers.
Levi’s management sucks. I read some of their recent nonsense. I won’t be buying any.
Buying used jeans on eBay from a sanctuary city source in particular, and in general is a recommended “NO,NO” now.
“Used from New York” at $0.99 starting bid or “buy it now” is not recommended.
In 1880, a pair of Levis cost $1.80.
In 1962, a pair of levis cost $2.60.
Today, they are out of sight showing the real inflation rate. No wonder they have been made cheaper in Mexico, Guatamala, Honduras and Colombia.
Indeed. When your job requires rapid walking a warehouse 6+ hours a day, you produce a lot of lower body man odor.
I’m glad I usually have 6 fresh pairs of levi’s on hand.
I don’t know that I’d run around bragging about supporting China, when we’re likely going to be in direct conflict in our lifetimes.
There is nothing wrong with washing germs and filth out of your jeans. Geez.
Only Wranglers cover my ass.
It’s a fat roll.
whatever the guy has...
Hah, ya, one can’t really tell from that. You just never know.
Hip huggers with wide bell bottom and halter top was my clothing of choice.
