Seafood lovers on Instagram and Reddit are freaking out over photos showing gigantic lobster claws, and those posting the pictures say they bought them at Costco stores.
This thing is unreal! one Instagram user wrote this week, sharing a couple of photos of a massive claw in Southern Californias Newport Beach. I mean, come on. Ive seen a few big claws at Costco before, but this ones crazy! We just had to get it.
Another Instagram user, sharing more pictures, said the gargantuan claw size makes me wonder how big the tail is. Photos of those Kirkland-branded claws show them selling for around $45 each at a Costco in mid-February.
The claws come in a range of weights but generally are between 2 and 7 pounds, INSIDER reports. Most of the lobster claw sightings at Costco stores have been in California, according to the publication.
And Vibrio?????
I think the really bold and starving man was the first one to discover castoreum, the flavor-enhancer produced by the anal scent glands of beavers.
Not to be disrespectful, but some people don’t have sensitive tastebuds. You may be one of them.
Could be...I am a deplorable!
How far from the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant did they find that thing?
Probably taste like crap
Come to think of it I wonder how old that lobster was.

Vacuum packed?

No, but well wrapped in plastic wrap, something Costco doesn’t do. I’ve kept them at subzero temps. for over year and they’ve still come out good.
Lobsters used to be ground up and used as fertilizer. Nobody thought they were edible or worth eating.
Back in the small New England town where I grew up, our local supermarket had a live lobster tank and a big steamer. You could select your lobster, finish the rest of your shopping, then come back to pick your freshly steamed lobster. I vaguely remember the price at about $2.00/pound.
During the Revolutionary War the Continental Army fed lobsters to the prisoners! I bet they got sick of them.
Thats because COSTCO has them all !
Shame they harvested a lobster of that size. It could have made a lot more bank as a live specimen somewhere. Sucker must have been 30 years old or more?
:^) Sharp knife, hot skillet, blob of butter...
Seafood glazed, flash frozen and vacuum packed last longest keep below 25 degrees
I hope it was really old, because if it was young we’d be in BIG TROUBLE!..............
OH, the huge manatee!.......................
That’s not too far from me, down the road in Shediac NB.
